I think (to me anyway) it was clear to see yesterday that Tone went up there hoping for a nil nil draw, so that it would make and extra game for Fuller to miss, ie he would only miss the liverpool game and wuld be back for the chelsea game.
From minute 1, we just strolled around the field with no attacking mentality at all....
As soon as they scored, we were fucked and every media source ive heard have said the same thing.

I think we went there on the basis to not get any injuries - Simple as that

i don't think we went there for a draw, the last thing we need is more games at the moment. We didn't have any attacking options anyway did we?

It'll backfire even more. As a national laughing stock, we are even less likely to get any reasonable signings.

From minute 1, we just strolled around the field with no attacking mentality at all.... We don't really have any players with a attacking mentality, we don't know how to attack full stop, it's all set up to defend, it's even worse when Fuller is missing, our only attack minded player. Although I have to say Lawrence showed glimpses.

We are not good enough to win the cup anyways, so personally im glad we're out of it so there are no more injuries and suspensions!

Do you honestly think potential signings for what is a premiership side are worried that we have gone out of the cup.
Sorry I am of the opinion it will be more likely the size of the package and the duration of the contract, furthermore the size of the fee we will have to pay.
Conversation with potential signing "Hey Joe, Stoke have offered 6million and would look to offer you a £30K a week package for 3 years" Players say "Narrrr boss, they have just gone out of the FA cup, I'll stay here on the bench on £20K a week"

We are rapidly becoming the whipping-boys that the media predicted us to be at the start of the season. That will deter potential signings.

our actual problem is that our manager doesn't actually THINK at all when we go away from home. Apart from creaming himself over the thought of a 0-0, obviously.
We're not good enough to think any away game will be easy with this squad and the mindset we obviously travel with.

If that was his plan, you're right!

It's not just away, but at home that we're crap. Apart from in the binary season, I haven't seen a less potent midfield and forward line than we have now. We simply look like we haven't got a clue when we cross the half-way line - and having wasters like Pericard and Cresswell in the side certainly doesn't help.
