Getting the tickets tomorrow for three of our group Fortunately we have a party in Brum so I can't make it Sort of relieved, given the poor showings away from home, that I don't have to go

My grandson is going - and he went yesterday! Plus his mate and another lad who didn't see the shambles at Hartlepool
Grandson is determined to go to every match this season - and no-one gets more upset after a defeat than him. Spurs will be a problem for him

not a chance in hell im paying anymore money watching stoke this year, i have a season ticket and as long as i can afford it i will continue to do so, but the days of spending 100 quid plus on an away day, just to sing and watch us get hammered are gone! thanks pulis for putting out that negative shit that as made this decision for me

Cheers Jamo There are many fans who just want to be there whatever drivel is served up - they live in hope. I'm one of those and no doubt I will recover for the next away game (? Spurs midweek) mark - was that a very long shift last night One of the lads only works part-time and it will be a real struggle for him to find £47

What on earth did people expect this season - Travelling away and beating all and sundry ?
Sunderland spent twice as much as we did last season and (I think) only one twice away - Did their fans 'give up' (because thats what you are saying - not necessarily you Paul by the way !)
I can understand how people feel - Yes, I was at West Ham, Blackburn etc but Newcastle away was quality and Chelsea are actually struggling somewhat at home. I know we are shit but this could be OUR ONLY CHANCE to see Stoke EVER play Chelsea in a league game - It could well be back to Barnsley, Norwich, Plymouth etc etc again very soon.
Enjoy it whilst it lasts I say

Deano
We dont have the players - even against the Wigans, Blackburns, Man City's, West Hams's - They all have a good few years head start on us, have settled and experienced Premiership squads and have spent many many millions more than us.
Im not happy with things - who would be but there is such a gulf these days its very difficult to stay here once you have got here - West Brom have been up and down for years yet still remain unestablished.
Im so very pissed off too with some things (Preicard, Cresswell etc and some of the very poor signings) but Im afraid to say that its going to take time.
I think we can stay up - If we can continue to win at home and pick up another 5 / 6 points way we CAN stay up and then maybe build on thise experience and give it a better go next time around. That is, and I think realistically, the best that we can hope for.

I'm absolutely gutted i can't go to chelsea away. For fuck sake we are in the premier league where clubs spend in excess of ten million on average players. We have given it a go and taken points off of the likes of arsenal and liverpool. Beaten villa with a possible goal of the month. We hit a bad spell and people start jumping ship as though we're on the titanic

I'll be there and relieved that we're away from home. I would not have fancied us v Man Utd (League Cup) over two legs and with confidence apparently shattered. However, league-wise, I enjoy us more, against the better clubs, with nothing to lose, and Chelsea may be too complacent (as with Fulham and Southend) which would help us. Providing we can capitalise, i.e. score. We need our full allocation to be sold. The manager and players may take some flak , but I'm damned if we should have the supporters likewise being justifiably criticised. This is the chance we've been waiting for, for so long and I intend to see it through. I'll go for a draw.

There are those who have always gone to away games irrespective of who was manager, how we played, what kind of team we had.
Those people will always go and listening to some of the reasoning given you can understand why those same diehards were so miffed in August when they had to queue up for hours with the "casual" support

Jesus, if the Wisemaster is making up 'Party's in Brum' excuses just so he doesn't have to go to the match, then maybe even he has had enough of Pulis!
For the record, I'll be there.

no-one could have enjoyed Blackburn and Hartlepool though I was pleased with the near miss at West Ham - would have enjoyed it all the more with 11 players on the field
BTW Chelsea are still selling restricted view tickets to home fans at £22

Luckily we were on the back row so we could stand and allow him to see a bit of the game!!
