quite an astute response by TP "It's not important we get some players in, it is vital," although he does also say "Losing is like winning, you get into a habit and we need to make sure we break that habit as soon as possible." Which negates his first common sense comment Can we have more of the "winning habit" please, Tone

Considering he wasted 5/7ths of his large budget last window, you can't help feeling sceptical.

"quite an astute response by TP "It's not important we get some players in, it is vital," Also vital he doesn't waste Peters money and brings in players that are better than what we already have. ;D

The bloke fucking contradicts himself, The website states that he says he is closing in on a couple of deals, and yet yesterday he quoted that no deals were imminent.
I just dont believe the guy anymore.

Longton. if we are closing in, that backs up that yesterday they weren't imminent. If we close in, they will become the latter.
And I am sick of people saying that we wasted the money. I am still happy with the signings, its the fact that Cresser still plays that annoys me.

Bickstoke im a big fan of Pulis but i honestly believe he has wasted a lot of money. Of all the signings he has made this season only Abdoulaye Faye and Sorenson have been a success. Do you honestly thing Michale Tonge is going to prove a hit in the Premiership ???

Bick.
You can interprit what you said two ways, The fact is that we need new signings now and not the end of january which will probably be the case, We were told that TS had flew to France before the new year to tie up the deal for Dindane,
That deal has gone strangely quiet, and we both know from previous experiences will now probably not happen.
as for some of the recent signings i am sorr but i dont agree, how can anyone be happy with Sonko, kitson & Soares

I'm still with the belief that the eventual signings weren't his 1st choices, after missing out on Ledley and Pennant. Pulis's attempts to sign these 2, meant he was after 2 wingers to supply Kitson, and I'm confident he will still pursue that mission

How can you possibly think that?
It's obvious to even the most loyal Pulis fan that Fuller is his number one choice of striker and Kitson was bought here under false pretext.
He's NEVER been asked to play as the main striker in the premiership except for the West Brom game where he sadly got injured, and that was only because Fuller wasn't playing anyway!
It beggars belief that we wasted money on players he doesn't think good enough for the squad at times, let alone the bench!

But then a winger system to supply Kits is a a risk really, as it's an alien system to TP. What is more likely is to strngthen the system TP does know, i.e. Mama/Fuller route 1; this works excellent for us, but injuries/suspensions have blunted it big time. The simple idea is to get Fuller & Mama Mark 2.
So it goes like this: Camara & Lita (Fuller) & Makakula (Mama) - Currently £4 mill will get em all. (Lita is offered for 350K!! & Camara for 750K!!!) - They would keep our tried and tested system in shape. Only question is can these boys do it as well as Mama & Fuller?

Why is this so difficult? Pulis wanted certain players in the summer. Some he got, some he didn't. As the season approached it was clear we needed a squad - so he bought one! Some are good, some are not so good YET. Let's give them a chance and see what happens!

whether you're behind Pulis or not, think whoever he signs in this window and the subsequent performances relating to any additions will determine his Stoke City future. Should he fcuk up think he will be gone at the end of the season
might sound an obvious statement but part of me wants him to stay even if we go down, after all he was a bloody good manager in the Championship

Considering he wasted 5/7ths of his large budget last window, you can't help feeling sceptical. 99% of stokies at the time felt that the Kitson purchase was a good one - it just hasn't worked out and I can't believe he hasn't even looked like scoring nevermind scored!! Ab Faye was a steal, sorro was a steal, Higgy was a decent acquisition as was Amdy Faye for bugger all. Players like Soares, Sonko, Tonge, Olly and Davies have yet to prove their worth imo. The problem we HAD at the beginning of the season was that we had no squad (and injuries) and we needed quantity and quality. We got quantity but the major issue was that it came at a high price. Opposition clubs said - "Mmmmmm premiership team sniffing around our player - lets add 1 or 2 million - they can afford it!" Hopefully we'll be able to buy quality players and loan manucho or the likes in time for the pool and chelski games.

Tbh chaps, we heard this "closing in" stuff all last summer and we had to wait for ages. Im not moaning, just stating the obvious, I shall wait and see what happens here but not getting hopes up yet, although I maybe surprised.
Lets hope these signings "drop" for us.
