People keep saying we need to spend big in January but I am not sure how much money the club has.
Last years financial accounts for Stoke City showed we OWE 23 million to be paid this financial year!! 4.4 millions was to another Stoke subsidiary, I assume 2 million was to the Icelanders but it did not explain what the other huge amounts were for. This was before the summer signings - so if we already owed 23 million and then spent 17 - 20 million over the summer what have we got left ?
The worry I have is we will end up massively in debt, relegated and with a huge fall in income become bankrupt ...... It looks like we have already blown the Sky money and are getting out way through the parachute payments .... lets just hope TP finds a couple of gems and turns the season back around.
Relegation I could cope with - but not if our one season in the premiership actually ruined my beloved club.

Sadly not Ilford Dave - took a look at them when I was down in Stoke over Xmas .... my dad got a copy. I could not believe it either !! Not sure what we have spent 23 million on. Also it very much looks like 'Stoke City FC' do not own the club - Coates may have bought it - but it belongs to another 'holding company'.
I can see if I can get hold of them after the Liverpool game if that is of any interest?

It wouldn't have anything to with the fact that the prem cash is paid in installments over the season?

I think the holding company is bet 365 isn't it?Peter and his daughter are the holders of that company. I did touch on this in another thread last week that the money going in was it loans from the holding company. Also when the shirt sponcers run out what about bet365?

we need to sell: Dicko-200K Pericard-200K
add 15M for money we've got already
add season ticket money-7M. Which is £22.4M to spend on a striker and a winger to sort our problems out by scoring

Pericard 200k? who's going to offer that though? Ramos at Madrid well he does seem like he's losing the plot with some of his targets.
