Lawrence? I couldn't make it to the game today so was unaware of his or anyone's performances, but from his thoughts on the official site it seems like he is genuinely pissed off about today's result. Reading that it looks like he wants to stay a Stoke City player, I know anything could happen and he could be leaving. But from his celebrations against Villa and Coventry alone it's clear that he loves it here at Stoke. He describes us as the best fans in the country and says he's glad to get involved again, this kind of determination speaks volumes of Pulis' management aswell as Liam's spirit. Could still be a few weeks until he's back to his best, and we'll all be reminded of how good that really is. His and Mama's absence has been felt greatly this season and with someone to widthen our play and hold the ball up we should have no problems staying up with a couple of good signings. Things can surely only get better at this point. There's no reason why we can't get a point next week, I know we've been poor today and at West Ham, but we were at Blackburn and bounced back with that performance on boxing day. If you're a Stoke fan you can't expect it to be easy, just like last season, that had it's twists and turns and so will this season, but with some of the players we have and Pulis in charge we'll stay up and progress next season. I know I've said it before, and I expect some criticism, but have faith www.stokecityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10310~1507909,00.html JB

I agree, he is a class player.

I'm glad at least someone has apologized, reckon he'll only come on as a sub against Liverpool then?

Just got back from today and i must say although he was not brilliant he showed his undoubted quality when he came on, and he stayed out wide and wanted the ball. We need him firing asap

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that the player to make an impact-ish was the most unfit. Pulis said that he made more crosses when he came on than they had all game, though I guess this isn't many

Shut it you To be honest Beech I'm not even sure if he'll feature at all against Liverpool, he said he is still a few weeks from fitness. So unless we're in with a chance of some points second half I'd leave him til Chelsea or Spurs and let him come back closer to full fitness

Well with the players we've got available we've no chance in our next two games so we may as well get his fitness levels up if nothing else.
I also agree with swampy that TP should apologise for some of these performances & tactics, i'd respect him a lot more if he did.

There's no reason why we can't get a point next week,
Apart from the fact that we've been shite for two months and have pissed away £15 million, a possible Wembley final, countless points etc.
Preston played better than we have in months and were beaten comfortably, but you might be right - TP and some of the big-time Charlies in the squad might actually turn up and roll their sleeves up whan a big club rocks into town.
Fulham, Hull, Derby, Blackburn, today etc - "er, no thanks".
Pathetic.
