To those who went, how did these two do, result aside?
Did they look fit and sharp? Enough to start on Saturday?

kitson didnt have any service Nothings changed there then. ....I suppose if we can scratch one grain of comfort today it was the fact that these two played a part at some point.

Kitson seems to have been pretty ineffective according to those who went

Lawrence looked very good and was probably the only one who looked bothered and wanted it, he showed more enthusiasm from the touchline before he came on than any of the others showed
oh and kits had a really good opportunity when Tonge played a ball to him in the box, he could of pushed it towards goal and had a shot but for some reason turned onto his right and into a defender

Kitson did not look fit, but was still way better than Pericard. Kits ran around a lot but was way off the pace How the hell Pericard earns a wage as a professional footballer is beyond me. Even the Hartlepool fans were taking the piss.

with the exception of Sonko, Lawrence was the most committed player and only played 45 minutes. Kits is struggling for fitness but was better than Pericard and he needs a break

Kitson was his usual half arsed self and missed a glorious chance, laid on a plate to him by Tonge.
Whilst it is true he is better than Pericard, that is hardly justification for his regular inclusion in our side. He isn't the answer, he doesn't want to play for us and we need to get shut of him as soon as possible and replace him with someone better and more suitable to our game plan.
Lawrence was fine and should have played from the start!

I don't think you can be that certain about kitson - a lot of what we've seen as temper tantrums getting subbed are most likely frustration with himself at not getting a goal. he has a different approach to the game to a lot of our players, ie his game doesn't really on hustle and muscle. The goal line clearances he's made demonstrate his work ethic and willingness to get stuck in, but he applies his effort in a different way to what we expect perhaps. I'd love to see how he would fare having had a chance to build an understanding playing alongside mama, although can't see when he's going to get a chance to do this.

" I'd love to see how he would fare having had a chance to build an understanding playing alongside mama"Ok, so how many more excuses are we going to allow Dave Kitson. Can't play in a Pulis side. Can't play with Ricardo Fuller Can't play with Mama or Fuller (has been said) Can't play in our "system" Let's just admit defeat with this bloke - He's fucking SHIT and shouldn't play for Stoke again. If we could get anywhere near our money back then I for one would love Stoke to jump at the chance.... AND throw Pericant into the deal for free just to stop the useless idiot taking more wages. FFS When will we ever start to wake up, get real and get on with it?

Lawrence played well- you could see the creativity there. Kitson wanted it, but he was a bit flat. They both need to get match fit.... Then I can see them bringing some much needed quality back.
