....just which is the biggest?
Sorry, but yesterday's display by Brown showed just what a small-time, egotistical plum he is.
If ever a manager of Stoke did that I'd hang my head in shame.
In no way could that have ever done anything other than humiliate a set of players who have not deserved such humiliation over the course of a season.I just hope that such a public display might lose him the dressing room.
The way he strode over clapping the fans - ffs, what a plum.
In sport, what goes on on tour, stays on tour. If he needed to slate players, why do it in front of millions instead of the sanctuary of the dressing room? We all know the answer to that. yet more cheap publicity.
I detested the clown last season for his small-time comments, yet have warmed to him on certain occassions this season.
But yesterday was about no-one else apart from Phil Brown, and no matter where they are in the league compared to us, if our gaffer did that he wopuld be the one getting both barrels, not the players.

Totally agree, his players did not deserve that at all considering what they have achieved so far this season.

Smacks of attention seeking imo, he could have dealt with the players in the dressing room and then issued a apology to the fans after the match.

With a tan like that he could be a Gay icon soon...
That aside, his actions in my humble opinion border on bringing the game into disrepute.! Doesn't the thick bastuurd know that traditionally Hull play with Egg-shaped balls. Doesn't he know that every year Hull features as one of the worst places in Britain to live.. Doesn't he know that Hull was so unattractive that he even the Vikings pissed off home... Doesn't he know that Hull is so bloody bad that it has had to administer it's own telephone company ....

I watched that first half. Brown didn't embarass them anymore than they embarassed themselves by that 'performance'.

Agree here, he was completely out of order, his players have done wonders so far this season and didn 't deserve that in public. Would be a pisser if they all slapped in a transfer request or refused to play unless he makes a public apology
oh and Dawn French's arse.... just

I agree he was out of order.
But I don't think Dawn French would have done any better! ;D

The Phil Brown show continues. Just keep giving him the rope and he will surely do the rest himself.

I thought it was plain amusing to be honest. Especially as he kept his microphone attached to his head at the time
BUT....in terms of insulting or belittling the players, haven't they got a Captain ? and couldn't he have said "No, Boss, we're going to the dressing room" ?????
I think the players could have stood up for themselves better ( despite patently not doing for the previous 45 minutes ;D )

Thing is people go on about players being pampered and softies but when they get a bollocking it's bleeding heart time. In that first half Hull were bloody dreadful. They got the hammering they deserved IMHO.

Thats the nature of footballers though. Independent thought isn't encouraged. They do what they are told.

So Joe, if you fucked up at work, had a bad day at the office, would you a)
Expect your manager to discreetly call you into his office for an arranged meeting (Like H/T) and say fuck me Joe I know you are a complete spazz but do try harder today as you are bringing the whole fucking place down you prick.
Or b)
Say all of the above in front of all the office and invite a few people off the street to have a watch too?
You have obviously missed the point of professionalism and the original point of ego. Wonder Why?

If I'd been as diabolical and shit as Hull were in that 1st half it's all I could expect. I'm sure the Hull players are big and grown up enough to handle it. If not they'll just get a new porsche or racehorse or villa in La Manga to cushion the blow. Poor ickle lambs.

The game was already lost at 4-0 down. His public team talk was futile in terms of its positive effects on the players or the final score. They could have staunched the goals in the second half without the public humiliation.
TP would never have done that. Look at how he got the players to respond at Newcastle. You build a dressing room on respect. The Hull players looked like naughty schoolkids being told off by a bullying teacher. What's worse, it will always be a lasting image flashed on season reviews, etc., and will do everything to lower morale and self-esteem.

Would Tango expect the same treatment from his chairman? I dont think so.What a pisser that would be the next time they are getting dicked at half time for the chairman to march him out and have a good rant at him in front of everyone.

I reckon Tango thought the idea up on the spur of the moment and probably regretted it about 3 minutes into starting his rant. The game was already lost at 4-0 down. His public team talk was futile in terms of its positive effects on the players or the final score. They could have staunched the goals in the second half without the public humiliation. That was my feeling too. Had it been 3-1 then it might have made a difference (and I doubt that too), but all that it did at 4-0 was show the Hull fans what a fans-favourite Tango believes he is. I thought selecting Windass to start smelled a bit of desperation and coupled with his HT pantomime it'll be interesting to see how things go for Tango and Hull over the next few weeks. ah
