I have called them simply "Manchester" for years. Showing them the same respect that most people show for the Sheffield clubs or the Bristol Clubs. Its should be less confusing because there are only two Manchester clubs and there are about 15 Uniteds.

What is it about the Manchester clubs that everyone thinks you can just call them by their second name?

If anyone ever starts bangin on to me about "United" I always pretend that I think they are talking about Torquay or Hereford or Newcastle or Sheffield or in fact anyone apart from the arrogant scum.
