Mama out injured, fantastic as the man has been, could be a blessing in disguise, if it means TP finds a plan B which does not involve hoofing it up to the big man. We have relied so much on Sidibe's self-less holding play that we have forgotten how to play any other way.
Lawrence and Tongue in midfield, with Kitson up front with Fuller in a 4-4-2 could transform the way we play and make us both effective and more attractive to watch rather than the dross which has been served up rather too often recently.
The only problem is - we need Lawrence and Kitson back quick! Can anyone shed any light on when they might be back in contention?

I think he'll just carry on using the same plan and ask some other poor sod to play at being mamma, prob Vince at home and Cressy away - he's always done that before when mama's been out.

Sadly, don't think we are good enough for a creative midfield "footballing" style of play, as Brazil have proved, it doesn't work without £15m+ signings in midfield. Need Mama back

Hows it a blessing, it means that the useless effort of a premiership player Cresswell will be on the pitch, and he should be nowhere near a premier league pitch. And I agree with Sam, TP (or the full backs) will just keep hoofing it up and try get cresswes to win the ball in the air, which will make the poor lad look even worse

More effective football??? We have one of the best home records in the best league in the world so i think we are quite effective at the moment but i do see what you mean about a having a plan b but Liam and Kits have a while before they are back as well

My God, I hope you lot are wrong. The thought of Cresswell or Pericard trying to be Mama makes me feel physically ill. It was bad enough when Kitson was asked to do it. I wouldn't put it past TP to pull Fuller back and leave Cresswell up front as our danger man!

If its a blessing in diguise... then it's a fucking good disguise ;D
Only joking, but I think there may be some positives to come out of this but so much depends on the January window.

make us both effective and more attractive to watch rather than the dross which has been served up rather too often recently. Like wins against villa, spurs, sunderland, west brom and arsenal?

I'd prefer Mama was fit AND we look for a plan B, rather than it be forced on us, but I like the idea of having Lawrence and Soares in midfield, perhaps try a new formation at home-
----------------------Sozzer----------------------
Griff---------BigAbFaye----Sonks--------Higgy
------------------Faye (or Diao)---------------
Lawrence----------Soares---------------Delap (or Tongey)
-------------Kitson-------------Fuller----------
