It beggars belief that some fans think that we have a right to beat Fulham or Hull or even Blackburn.
Liverpool are top of the league and yet they drew also with Hull and Fulham. Man Utd drew with Spurs and Chelsea drew with West Ham
But hey we think it is our right to beat these teams that the top teams cannot even beat, and wot happens if we dont beat them, the doom merchants are out saying we are crap we are plan A no plan B.
Tell wot we are we are Stoke newly promoted 14th with one of the best home records in the league. So far we are doing well and far better than I ever thought.
We have a team that TP is slowly putting together to challenge for at least mid table and his main priority to stay in the league. Wot we dont need are people moaning we should win blah blah blah and also we dont need the likes of Lawrence being ruled out coz he got drunk, how unprofessional is that.
Fulham are a strong side. Yes we have weaknesses but so do other teams. With all thes injuries we have we are doing bloody well.
Wigan have never ever beaten a top 4 team since they got promoted yet Stoke have already achieved this in their first season, so shut up and support whoever is on the pitch.
As for Cresswell yes he may have limitations but he is far better than Lawrence because he is available and not injured through dogs or drink or whatever it was? But getting on a players back who gives everything he has got really is being a cunt.
My point is we do not have the divine right to beat teams coz newly promoted Stoke think these teams are small, wot do you think these teams fans think. They are probably saying how comes we cannot beat Stoke they just got promoted
Winning is not a right it is to be worked for, and so far we are doing bloody brilliant

I don't think people believe we have a divine right to beat these teams, it's just that they are WINNABLE in comparrison with the big guns. If we go in with the attitude of "yeah, they'll probably beat us" it's not gonna get us anywhere.

I don't understand people who reckon we should be so grateful to be in the Prem that we shouldn't be disappointed when we don't win.
Yes, I'm happy to be here, but I want to stay here, so we should be looking to beat fellow relegation candidates at home, especially those with such a crap away record as Fulham, and even more especially when our away record is even worse.
I don't think anyone thinks we have a right to beat anyone, but in order to succeed we have to think ourselves as having earned the right to be here, so we should consider ourselves on at least an equal footing with the likes of Fulham and Blackburn.

Correct there is no right to win, you have to earn that right and attempt to win though!!

Bow down to the great Fulham who haven't won away all season-I don't think so! Its a game we should win, needed to win but didn't. We know the reasons why and we can moan about it all we want, lets move on and think about beating Blackburn. It will be tough but we can do it! We have to look at this as a game we can win away. We just have to, if we don't there is no point in turning up. 3 points here could be vital. Its tighter than a ducks arse and if we win we have a massive margin over 2 clubs. So this game could shape both our clubs seasons.

Has anyone said 'we have a right to win this'?....
.... No instead, in the premiership these are must win games, its a fact, Fulham have been terrible away and therefore we should have punished them. But we didn't.
So you are basically saying that we should go into each match thinking 'We are a championship team really, so lets have fun and if we get something out of it, lovely.'?

I completely disagree. I dont think there are many on here who think we have the right to beat anyone. We have done extremely well and have beaten so teams and had a bad day against a decent Fulham team, we had chances and didnt take them but should relly have won although a draw was a fair result for both sides.

Well said mate, was just going to post pretty much the exact same thing, it's a fair point that these are very good sides and technically better than us, but at home there are a select number of teams that we need to beat in order to stay up. Points against other teams are just a bonus. However, very happy with the point against Fulham

But only two points off a relegation spot and Fulham who are considerd to be amongst those involved in the survival league remaining ahead of us.

I am not saying we bow down to anyone, I believe we should do out upmost to win against whoever we play. Wot I am saying is people think as said that we should beat certain teams.
My point is these teams we deem that we should win are holding the so called big four to draws, so for us to win we have to work damn hard, and my other point is as soon as we dont win the doom merchants come out moaning.
And yes I am happy with Stoke so far and no I would not be happy for only one season in the top flight. I want more lots more.
And I do not think any TP team has gone in with the attitude we wont get something out of the game. I think all games are there for the taking but I certainly dont think oh we should win this because its Fulham attitude and when we dont the usual suspects start moaning. And this moaning is not justified given our position in the league at the moment

I agree to some extent. People just look at teams such as Fulham and due to their reputation think we should beat them, but if you look at them this season, they have a very decent side. I was very pleased with the point to be honest.

i think it all depends on the game in question. i personally felt that we gained a point against fulham considering how we played, yet 2-1 arsenal flattered the gooners. whereas we would have said the opposite before both games.
so it all depends on how the team turn out that day.
