Watched the matched here in Cyprus looked abit toothless, with a couple of results not going our way at the weekend and playing man ure on boxing day could be 3rd from bottom ( how long could Sidibe be out for). Cresswell and Periwinkle shakes head in disbelief. Best we can hope for is a 0-0 afraid.

To be honest with injuries as they are we are fielding little more than a Championship side right now.
I'd bite anyones hand off for a draw at Blackburn. That way they don't make up any ground on us and we can try to regroup in the New Year as players come back from injury and perhaps a couple of new faces arrive in the squad.
Oh well, onwards and upwards!

As long as Ince is still in charge we have a great chance of getting 3 points. If he goes were fooked, ala Sunderland this weekend.

Can't see us getting a reult without Mama,as much as it pains me to say it,all our tactics revolve about him and we haven't got the players to play any other way.

Saturday was different as we started without the big guy. At least now we have a week to reorganise and try and play to some other strengt. I'm not sure what though.

I would not go as far as saying Saturday is must win, but it's a must not lose.
This league is getting ever closer and we could do with that little gap of points staying a gap.

It's more a case of not wanting them to win more than anything else. Want to keep them in bottom 3,gives us more chance of fighting for one relegation place.

[I'd bite anyones hand off for a draw at Blackburn. quote]
Against a side that has lost 7 games on the bounce, low on confidence and will be nervous as hell?
Too many folk are thinking this league is greater than what it is. Blackburn are a shit team.
Getting into them early, quietning the crowd and getting our noses in front is the way forward on Saturday.
Taking a draw now is crazy, 3 points is a mimimum on Saturday

I agree that if Ince is still in charge then we have a great chance. As long as we dont concede early on then there's a great chance that the Blackburn fans will get on the managers back and that'll impact on the team.
If however he's gone before the weekend then we might see a reinvigorated Blackburn side who are desperate to bounce back.
I'd be content with a point, but not over the moon as I do see it as a winnable game.
I also think that we should give Tonge a start - which by default would mean that we would have a slightly different style - much needed in a Sidibe-less Stoke side.

I agree that Blackburn will be a tough game for us.
But with Blackburn on very poor form at the minute I am confident of a Stoke win on Saturday.
I'd like to see Tonge & Soares start too & get some crosses into Fuller & Cresswell/Pericard.

Tactically Ince is clueless so if they could just hold off on sacking him until after we play them we have a far better chance.

I think i'd settle for a 0-0 at Blackburn tbh, i would anywhere away from home, apart from the Hawthorns obviously Although as far as away 3 point chances go, this is a big one.

Its a game we must not lose, a draw would be OK but a win would be massive considering our fixtures in Jan we need as many points as soon possible. I just fear the worst with are past history of playing teams who have not won for ages or scored for ages.

It will be our best chance at that first illusive away win,and if it was a shocking dull horrid make Stuart Hall weep on 5 live of a game, and Pericard scores in the 99th minute, it would make me a happy lad.

No wonder Pulis sets us up to play like he does, with some of the comments on here about how great it would be to get a point at Blackburn
Blackburn have won 1 at home conceeded 15, 3 points for the Potters creates a gap of ten points bewtween us. Settling for a point before the game is just plain crazy.
Lets get the 3 points on board, and build on the run of games and build on the run of form (if not performance) we had got going.
If we approach this game like we have every other away game, then the ebstw e can hope for is a draw, as we will allow Rovers to have time, possession and gain confidence.
Forget the fact they had a decent season last year, that counts for nothing, they are crap and the least we should target from the game is 3 points
