and yet it's appropriate and one that was very much needed yesterday against Fulham - and it is......
GET INTO E'M, GET INTO E'M, GET INTO E'M - Repeat to fade.
Would be great to start it back as it sounds pretty intimidating at the best of times.
Thoughts anyone?....

Problem is Tazi that this board has 5000 odd members, of which I suspect half dont even go to games
Against Derby I started
Everywhere we go, people want to know, who the lads in Red and White,
It seems like nobody knows the words, or people are just to spread around that singing will never be the same again
I really really dont have an answer for it
All this about us being the loudest, most vociferous fans in the Prem is really a load of shite
Watched Pompey and Chelski today, and there was far more singing than the last four or five games at the Brit
I went home hoarse after the Villa game, but it has NOT happened since

Well if we can't get a good atmosphere going for our next two home games then we never will again.

it didn't help on satturday with fulham only haveing 900 we had nothing to compete against, when there has been a good atmosphere the away fans have always attempted to sing which makes the stokies sing loader to drown them out, it shouldn't be the case but sadly it has been we need to change it for the rest of the season no doubt the atmosphere will be good for the united and liverpool games but it's the rest we need to up the anti for

Might not sing it at Stoke these days, but went the Crewe-Vale game last year with Vale lads I kenw at college, and the Vale lot all sing "Get into 'em, Fck em up, get into 'em" etc. Sounded really good actually

Personally I think our atmosphere has been very decent all season (bar against Fulham where no-one seemed 'up for it').

We just dont have any songs!!!!!!!! We may as well be in the conference with the dross we sing, surely we can do better. Lets get it together and sort it OUT; all this talk on here is just shite. And i will say it now. The atmosphere at the next home game will be amazing but against Man Utd it should be. We needed the roar of the POTTERS against Hull and fulham - winnable games IMVHO if we are to help the team avoid relegation.

Ideally we'd have near continuous singing, like it was as i remember at the Villa match, so its like start the match with a loud Delilah, then a 'go on stoke', then a 'we love you city we do, oh city we love you...' followed by 'oh when the reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds' then a 'go on city go on city' then a 'we'll be with you be with you...' then like a 'ricaaaardo fuller' followed by the mama song, then maybes a 'woah tommy tommy, tommy tommy tommy tommy sorensen' then back to a 'go on stoke' etc etc and keep it going you know? Then a 'theres only one liam lawrence' even if hes not in the team yknow, just sing stuff theres a chance everyone will join in with. Followed up with the que sera, sera 'we hate Vale' and then a rousing CITY TIL I DIE, IM CITY TIL I DIE
Ideal world that is i know, but i rate on Boxing Day that should deffo be the order of the day
Hope so, cuz i'll be singing til i pass out :-)

My mate from Germany went to watch Chelsea yesterday and he said they sang really loudly just after they scored and he thought: "Great, I'll get my camera ready to film the next one" - They didn't even sing once after that though! He said that they were basically crap - only Wet Sham fans singing (as you expect from away fans). I was most impressed by Borussia Dortmund fans behind one of the goals - 25000 all singing and dancing from more than 30 minutes BEFORE kick off right till the end! The rest of the stadium was quiet but they have all the loud fans in one place and it creates a great atmosphere! They call it the yellow wall: www.fampi.de/bilder/gelbe_wand_1600_1200.jpgphysos.net/~physos/images/blog_images/bvb09_1.jpg

I've considered, in the past, creating a SCFC songbook. If we could get a few businesses to advertise in it I reckoned I could have knocked up about 15,000 folded leaflets (containing the equivalent of 8 sides of A5) full of songs to dish out free prior to a game. All it needs is a load of songs, enough advertisements to cover the printing costs, and some people to dish out the song sheets at different areas of the ground prior to a match.
If anyone reckons it's a good idea I'll start the ball rolling, although it would have been nice to get it out earlier in the season.

The last time we were a great singing set of supporters was at the Vic when Lou was manager, we seemed to just have loads of songs to sing. Since we moved to the Brit it is hard to get all the singers together, but I am so fed up with Delilah
Certain games Villa, Arsenal etc we seem to really generate lots of noise and a great atmosphere, but when we play the so called smaller teams it is dead pan.
Womble I hope your idea is for fans to buy a book and not stand singing from a song sheet at a match how stupid would we all look, be like a church.
As for the Germans, I have been to some games in Germany and they certainly know how to create an atmosphere. But that ground didnt have a screen, lmao

I guess it would look silly if everyone was stood singing from them, but I doubt people would anyway, I saw it more as a collectable comedy keepsake... ;o)
I thought it would be good if everyone knew the words to some of our songs, it may encourage more singing. Plus, people come up with loads of new ideas for songs on here all the time, some of those are worthy of a wider aaudience, and while this messageboard is busy, handouts to 15k people means it should reach every person in the ground on that day.
