Ok fromafar,
Where exactly did you expect us to finish this season, given that you have been disgusted with every result where we haven't got 3 points?
If you are disappointed with the number of points we currently have, how many do you think we should have, 30, 35, 40 maybe?

Your pathetic attempts at revisionism won't work. Learn to write, then try again, you pathetic fucking loser. really stands out as being inept, cant shoot on target, headers at goal from the edge of the box, all alone because Cresswell is defending, he really isnt the kind of player needed in a game like this. His fault ?? probably not! its the way he is used i suppose !!

EXPECT us to be 8th?
You truly are dillusional.

From a far it is difficult to see anything. where exactly are you anyway? I disagree ... he is as far away from us as we are from him and yet we can all see he is a fucking idiot of the highest order. So he's taken the 20 points we have and then added 4 points as he thinks we have let a few get through our fingers. I may have to go back and see where he "expected" us to beat Arsenal, Villa & Spurs. DUH

for this one.. "Well Fulham are a massive team on the road" " we just lost it after Sidibe went off" " a well deserved point" "Stoke played brilliantly" etc etc etc when Sidibe goes out and the striking options are Richard Creswell and Vincent Pericard, well.................... Why are you posting this? Were you there? No? thought not. I have no problem with anyone's opinion if they actually support the club..ie attending the game. Until you do your opinions are fuckin' worthless and only serve to get peoples backs up.

Nah , actually the game was the worst I've seen all season. However, there's no point in this thread , thats what we are getting at :-p Very poor game, but not as bad as the Derby defeat I think.

24 points? Wow, i've got to admire Fromafar's optimism if nothing else.
I'd have honestly expected us to have somewhere between 2 & 10 points by now mainly due to having played Hull & West Brazil at home. So 20 points is above and beyond any reasonable expectation.

Spout some ludicrous horseshit eg Abdy faye should play more like Julian Lescott (sp), Sidibe is totally inept etc. 2. Get slated and shown for what a foolish know-nowt bellend he is. 3. Try, really try, to convert the shittiness into something that even remotely makes any kind of sense. Doesn't realise we can re-read his original posts, as much as he would like us not to. 4. Hide. 5. Repeat after next match. What's the name of the Everton fullback again, fromafar? Where does Abdy Faye play? Will you ever admit you got it totally fucking wrong about Sidibe? Utterly classless.

yep, so ive been hearing for the last 4-5 games "we know we are better" just curious when they will start showing it. to stay up we are supposed to be beating the "lesser" teams at home, because we play so badly on the road. this is my main point i take it you didn;t see the second half of Newcastle. Was outstanding!

wow, what an amusing set of freaks you are, Trumptonpotter, tsm, dubaistokie, dave the rave etc etc. I have now spent a while reading posts from the majoirty of the people on this site, i have read the match reports from most of the big papers and web sites that report on football and every single one of them, every one, said how bad the game was, what an idiot Cresswell was for missing such an easy goal, how the ref stunk up the place, and how bad stoke have played (2nd half to newcastle not withstanding) in the last 6 games. But the usual 6-7 morons that reply to my threads who have never had a desire to expect more, to want more out fo their team.to ridicule anyone who says anyhting negative about Stoke, to act like an immature child because i missplled joleon lescott's name as the ydont have anything intelligent to say so they call people names. I said maybe we should have 24 points due to crap performances like yesterday and against Wigan, maybe even 25 if not for the late goal conceded against Everton, but some total dope said he expected Stoke to be on 4-5 points just due to playing West Brom and Hull at home. It is people like the above mentioned that have kept Stoke down for so so many years because they dont expect anything any better, dont demand results, chide those that may suggest otherwise, and are happy to say "what an idiot you are to expect Stoke to have 24 points". these people and their ilk are the ones tha thave kept Stoke in the dregs of the lower leagues for nigh on 25 years for me, now Stoke are back in the top flight i do expect more, i do expect the team to improve in januay, and i do expect them to stay up. for all you other lifetime losers, well, you get what you expect !!!

I honestly believe if we try and play in the same style as teams that are overflowing with multi millions of talent we would get slaughtered every week and certainly end up relegated .
Even the teams that are below us apart from WBA have much better squad players than ours.
We can only play to our strengths and that obviously went out the window with the Mama injury yesterday.
It's clear we need more quality throughout the team , but for a Club like Stoke to progress in the Premiership can only happen overtime and not overnight .
I am sure it's agreed Whelan is the most creative player in the team , but compared to the creative players throughout the rest of the league , he's made to look average .
Creative pretty football is fine if the rest of the team are talented enough to execute that creativity , simply put we are not talented enough to play creative pretty football.
With the squad we have i think we have done well to be able to punch above our weight , i know it ain't pretty but it's got us thus far and Pulis in my opinion needs credit for it .

I've no problem with playing ugly, just so long as it's effective, the problem is, in the last 4/5 games we've not been doing what we're supposed to be good at, since that Arsenal win we've played far to negatively with no urgency or verve, we're not getting tight to teams, we're sitting far to deep when defending and not getting enough players forward when attacking. Obviously yesterday Mama went off and it effected us and made things even worse, it's quite worrying that when one cog is removed the whole team cannot function.

Yes it is worrying but credit to Pulis for keeping us remotely effective .
We know teams below and around us have better squads than us , regardless of how poor they have been playing. So why can't Pulis and the team be judged accordingly ?.

Fromafar07,
Yesterday's game was sh*te, we lost Mama after five minutes and that affected us until halftime at least. You, as the ultra professional class act you no doubt are, are probably immune from being affected by something like that, but the fact is our team was knocked for six by it. It happens sometimes.
We're 13th in the Prem at the halfway stage (almost). I am delighted with it.
Why you persist in posting almost entirely negative threads week after week (apart from when we win where you are strangely invisible) is beyond me.
If you genuinely think having a moan ALL the time will act as motivation, I truly feel sorry for any kids you may have or anyone who has to put up with you at work.
If you post to get a reaction, well don't be surprised when a lot of people who are tired of your constant negativity offer you abuse.
Perhaps you could point us all in the direction of some threads you've STARTED which are congratulatory or positive about the team, Pulis or certain players. Good luck!! Maybe when you yourself see the barrage of criticism you come out with, you'll understand why so many on here think you're a tiresome negative bellend.

you see it as being negative, i see it as telling the truth!! a true fan is not blind to how his team really plays. the miss by Cresswell was just obscene, him 8 feet of grass and the goal, 5 feet over!! i juts don t understand the change in play from the amazing, forward moving, attacking football from the 2nd half of the newcastle game to how they played yesterday. now 13th sounds great, but that is only 2 points from relegation with the next 3 games blackburn, man u and chelsea

Serpico i never said that . I just wish he was judged with a bit more fairness regarding who we are as a team in comparison to the rest of the league , which for some reason seems to be impossible with some posters on here.
Especially the likes of Fromafar who told us he stopped following football for many of years until Stoke's recent change in fortunes. Then he as the audacity to come on here and slag the team and individuals off week in week out.
