Done his knee in and along with a plaster cast on his hand and a perforated eardrum i reckon it's Wilko in from the off tomorrow.
Personally speaking if Wilko does play tomorrow he's going perform well.

Wouldn't Andrew Davies be ahead of wilko?

perforated eardrum??? hahaha... the old git personally i'm not the biggest fan of griff. he battles hard, and is a leader and everythin, but he gets beaten for pace far to easily against most left wingers in this league. bring on wilko i say

id like to see andrew davies personally. correct, griffin does get beaten far too easily for pace, it a weak spot in our defence.

fair enough. thats your opinion.
i just think wingers beat him to easily thats all. all the other parts of his game are superb, but i just think we're prone to conceding goals that way

considering what i was expecting from this year he has been great! yea he lacks a little pace, but he has adapted far better with us that he did with derby and isnt looking out of place!

Personally speaking if Wilko does play tomorrow he's going perform well. If Rory is fit then I'd play him at right back with Tonge on the left side of midfield. For me Griff has been one of our best players this season.

Just been on Radio Stoke that Wilko i starting. I'd take that with a pinch of salt mate, TP never discloses team selection this early.

Fair play to Griff he's been better then i expected him to be but is definitely the weak link in the back 4. Wilko will be worse though so i'm hoping Davies has got the beating of both of them.

Wilkinson for me all the way and i have a feeling that Andy Griffin is going to have to fight for his place back because he's being playing superb for the reserves and i'm certain that he's going step up to the plate.

It will be good to see if somebody else can do any better, Griff has been ok but of the back 4 he's the weakest link.

Wilko is one who IMHO isn't able to make the step up to Premier League standard. But he's got a chance and hopefully I'm wrong!

people who rate Wilko or Dicko are looking through Stoke tinted glass im afraid.
At best they are old-fashioned hackers who put hard tackles in and are good at destructive play. Their distribution is abysmal and at this level you need full-backs who can contribute something going forward as well.
Why on earth anyone can expect them to become prem class players all of a sudden is beyond me. Lets hope Davies turns out to have a bit of class about him.

They make well timed hard challenges-a great skill to have and they tackle with the best of them. But as You say the distribution is shocking. Top defenders though in my book but we do need more from the full backs.

ok maybe hackers is a bit harsh, they do put in good tackles in most parts. Dicko especially though does like to dive in on occasion and Im always worried about him giving away penalties in the box

Davies can't possibly be match fit yet. I hope he is on the bench and he'd be fine for 20 minutes or so but he has only played one 90 minute reserve game since his last operation. He'll benefit from a couple more reserve games - pity there are so few of them - only 16 all season?

I'm with you eddy. Fair play to Griff he's been better then i expected him to be but is definitely the weak link in the back 4. Wilko will be worse though so i'm hoping Davies has got the beating of both of them. Griff's (lack of) pace is showing him up a bit, but his all round game has been miles better than most were expecting. I would think that a fully-fit Davies would be a better option at RB though, remains to be seen whether TP can drop his captain. Wilko on the other hand is simply not good enough (yet?) for the Prem. Wears his heart on his sleeve, but lacks technical ability, awareness, doesn't read the game and his distribution revolves around "kick it dead hard". If he starts today I'll feel a bit deflated. Given that we seem to have more options in midfield at the moment, I would stick Delap in at RB.

that quote about rose tinted glasses should be about theses people who are obsessed with rory going at right back! why???? when we have wilko, possibly davies who can play there, would you play someone who in my opinion has become more of an attacking midfielder than anything else, he is a great player guys, but you cant stick him anywhere and we will get results!
