Referee: Stuart Atwell Is that good or bad?? I guess Reading fans would say it's great but Watford fans wouldn't agree!

Rory's absence might not be such a bad thing.

As with other recent home games I feel we will be faced with a team doing what we often do away - parking the bus in front of their goal. Fulham used to have the worst away record but their recent two 0-0 away draws suggest they are doing something about it. It could be very like some of our home games last season when teams obviously came for a point. It would be nice to get an early goal and force them into a more open style of play.

One of the 8 games - before the season kicked off - that I reckoned we'd need 3 points from. So far we've taken those 3 against Blunderland and Brazil, but only 1 v Hull (but then Villa, Spurs and Arse weren't on my list). As Forny says, Fulham have turned around their away form, so I reckon it will be a tough ask ... and - as Forny also says - we really need to score first to get em out at us. Still, their style should suit us, being more tippy-tappy than Hull. I wonder if Whelan will get the place in the middle alongside Sali (somehow, I doubt he'll start)? Is rory definately out? The shoulder thing, I assume, if so? If he is, then I reckon Soares will get the nod on the right ... but will it be Cresser or Tonge on the left? Put it this way, I will be stupified if our midfield lines up as: Soares - Whelan - Sali - Tonge ... stupified. ah

Nice one Lightwood I'm going with the following: Sorensen Griffin (or Davies if he isn't fit) Sonko Ab. Faye Higginbotham Tonge Whelan Am. Faye Pugh Fuller Sidibe This is a game that we need to be looking at three points from BUT it is far from guaranteed (despite what some people think). Fulham have a had a good start to the season and find themselves in the top half. Admittedly this is mainly due to their Craven Cottage form but the other week they drew at Anfield so they will be no pushovers. If we switch off we will be severly punished. Whoever you play at this level has great quality. Which Stokie would say no to a Bullard, Johnson or Zamora in the side? Having said that, I think the momentum from St. James' Park will see us through this one and we will gain a 1-0 victory through Ricardo Fuller. Bring it on!

Damn it Knowles, I wanted to put that tid bit in!!!
I think Tonge will play from the start, he deserves it, fans seem to be behind him so would be a greater starter at the Brit.
I predict 2-0 stoke. Early goal and and a late goal. Sidibe early and Fuller late

Bick- totally agree about Tonge. He's changed the outcome of the last four games he has been involved in and surely done enough to warrant a starting spot.

I said last night it would be under 1000- terrible support.
I went to Goodison Park to see them on a Friday night a couple of years ago. I would be amazed if their following exceeded 250. It was a disgrace to Bobby Moore, Johnny Haynes and all the other heroes who had preceeded the likes of Ian Pearce and Rufus Brevett.

It might be a piss-poor support, but I've been to London with Stoke as part of followings much smaller than 900. To be honest, if we'd been in the Premier a few years -and rarely won away- I'm not sure we'd be taking many more than 900 to Fulham a couple of weeks before Christmas.

Tonge has done enough to earn a chance to start - should have started the last 2 games in my book, but still. I think we need to beat the Fulham boys tomorra because wwe've got some harder months ahead of us now, with us playing 3 out of the big 4 again, plus the likes of Villa and Spurs away soon enough; a win tomorra, and soething from Blackburn will give us that extra bit of impetus as we enter the next few months. I'll go for 1-0 with super starter Michael Tonge getting the goal around the hour mark Gooooaaaaarrrrrnnnn the Potters
