Good luck to the fella - hope it works out better for him there than it did at Stoke!

He thinks it is unlikely that he will play for Frem.

I'll echo the sentiments of Smudge. I don't think we really saw him at his best!
I also recall Smudge wearing one of those "The Iceman Cometh" T-shirts!! Wasn't the anticipation fantastic?!Especially with that last minute winner on his debut!!
Oh well, something else to bore the Grandchildren with...

Your damn right we never saw him play for us at his best.
My blood pressure still boils when I think back to that searingly awful Vale "derby" at the Brit. The workshy skiver (etc)...
Calm, calm....

I think that we did see him at his best unfortunately.
He was out of his depth with us by at least one division.

Dadason was plagued with injuries the whole time he was with us, so we never got the chance to see how well he could play.

I'll always remember the way he cooly despatched that penalty after the Tranmere player had dug out the penalty spot.

I hope FREM is sophisticated enough for our favourite bandy legged culture vulture!

Dadasson...Oh God, don't get me started on that big tool. The same people who loved him are the same ones who worship Chris Greenacre.
Enough said.

Dadason was plagued with injuries the whole time he was with us, so we never got the chance to see how well he could play. agree with that, seldom had a decent run of games in the team, picked up minor injury after injury + his only real season for us (the one where he was least hit by injury) came as part of the useless wingback 'Hansson and Dorigo pinging diagonal balls up to the front two' formation. 12 goals from 22 full starts wasn't the worst of records considering he was also quoted as being well off match fitness for some of them, particulary in the promotion season. The Potteries Derby performance was abysmal but then if one player was to be made the scapegoat for that, then another ten men also deserve their share of the blame too. stokecity.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=944&p=2&stid=8235190Not so much a terrible player or a good one either for us, more of a signing that never worked out. Put him in the same file as Souleymane Oulare, rather than the Keith Scott dustbin.

Yep hope he doesn't choke at Flem. Really never knew what to make of him. Think he scored about 10 goals in 40 odd games (Ilford Dave will have the stats perhaps) which isn't the worst strike rate. The Tranmere incident is the one I'll never forget mentioned above. the guy was cooler than a Polar Bear with the air conditioning on full. Agree with you last comment Ange.

Widget,
That player your talking about was none other than Sean Flynn, ex Stoke loanee under Macari!!
Absoutle pisser. We spawned a 2-2 draw, when Jason Price (there striker) missed sitter after sitter. He did eventally score though
Only 1st goal was a cracker. Lovely move with a Clarke cross and Andy Cooke heading it in the top corner from 12 yrds out
Then a 88th minute penalty. That cunt, Flynn, digging up the penalty spot and Dadasson staying cool and slotting home the penalty. Massive mental. Oh great day!!!!

What the sodding hell was that digging up of the penalty spot about? Bjarni held the ball for about 5 minutes while the ref tried to restore order (so all the Tranmere players thought it was him who was taking the penalty and they wound him up instead of Dadason) and then Rikki just slotted it away. Quality.
My Dad doesn't go to Stoke anymore (not since the Brian Little season bar the occasional match) but he went to the two Christmas games that year and we can often be heard discussing the farce and hilarity around that penalty.
Anyway yeah, Rikki Dadason. Not good enough.

Remember the winner he scored at Oldham in front of a packed away, 1-0 down at half time and then win 2-1 in about the last minute - that was a mental and a half ;D

Crikey, that was superb wasn't it?! Bog of a pitch and the players just rolled their sleeves up and went for it. Bjarni was here, there and everywhere from what I remember.
Great stuff!
