Having watched the Toon game last night, apart from how well we played against at team from the prem, I couldn't help but notice how much praise TP got. Both Jonathan Pearce and Mark Bright were saying how well thought of he was within the game and how he is big mates with Redknapp after being his number 2 at Bournemouth, and Hansen was going on about how hard it is to defend with 2 lines of four which is a credit to the managers training tactics.
Now, in this time of everyone saying how Big Sam should have ben given more time, will Our Tone be able to win the rest of the fans over who constantly criticise the football on show? Lets face it, if we finish in the play off places this season that is a top 7 finish 1 year followed by a top 6. We wouldn't have expected that when TP came back did we?
Only time will tell.

I've always felt that Ferguson wouldn't have entrusted Martin and Shawcross's development to TP if he didn't respect him as a manager.

Ultimately it's the players call where they go. That's why Martin chose not to come back to us and go to Plymouth on loan instead as he has family down there.

It's strange that one, maybe he just didn't like TP's style of play. Who knows.
