I thought we were entitled to 15% of the grounds capacity or am I making that up?
I reckon we'll get more either way.

"up there" being the apt description.
Do you think they will let me take an oxygen supply for climbing up to our seats?

The capacity at St. James's park is 52,387 so 15% of that is 7858.

I was told 1700 sold just before 1230 by some lassie in the TO. Splitting hairs like but 1700 or 2000 who cares its still a good turnout as it and we have "general sale" to come!!
A win at Ipswich will add a few hundred more.
Can we shift 5000? I thought not. Who knows now.

5,000 would be a massive turn-out for a night match up there. Hat's off to all those making the effort

Tayman, I'm a veteran of probably 50 odd trips to St James Park. The company I work for has four season tickets there and we use them for work. I can assure you that the away support make one hell of a racket for those sat in the Sir John Hall or Milburn stands. The old stand and the Gallowgate (forget its corporate name) might not get it as much as they dont fall under the huge level 7 roof but the 30,000 Geordies in the other two stands will hear every fucking song we sing, espcially, touch wood, if we either take the lead or hold them.
On form, and up for it, the Geordies make one hell of a noise too, and any kind of result at OT other than a loss will see them bang up for this game.
It could be one hell of a night.
I'm certain any Stokies listening on Radio Stoke will hear us.
Loudest Ive heard at St James. Thats a toughie between Celtic, WBA and Man United.
And mate, with the exception of Celtic Ive never seen any side bring more than 5,000 to SJP either, so noise is assured.
Your mate is pulling your leg !
