Just said on Football Matters that Ricardo Fuller dived to get the penalty against Hull, what a complete tit he is . . John Hartson then said it was a penalty.

No more penalties for Stoke then! Why do people still interview this prized prick? He's a disgrace to football and a cunt to boot!

You mean Graham '3 yellow cards' Poll, quite why anyone would want his opinion on anything is mind boggling, the man is a laughing stock.

They showed footage of Dean Windass getting booked then debated the Penalty, the guy is so up his asss he went on 2 say the way he fell with his leg stretched out u cud tell it was a dive, Hartson Butted in and said it was deffo a pen, also Collymore said summat which was a bunch of rubbish as per usual coming from him.

Yeah but lads it was a dive though!! It was clever i'll give him that but it was a total dive and if it had been given against us I would have been fuming.
Although in this league it is clear you get nothing with honesty so I really dont blame Ric for the dive. 8 out of 10 lad

Why? He got touched in the area-its a penalty. As soon as the keeper misses the ball and touches Ric its a foul thus a penalty.

I'm with Akinbadbuy. Fuller played for the penalty. I would have not been happy if it was against us and I am a bit embarrassed to be honest. I understand why it's done but it doesn't make it right. At least there was some nominal contact rather than an out and out dive. I have watched it about 5x now and have not changed my opinion. I try and justify it by comparing it to the antics of Hull throughout the match. I don't mind Hull or Phil Brown but their gamesmanship was disappointing to see. I am in full agreement with Smudges comment on Delilah. He seems to have upset a few of the Hull fans with his comments. I think he speaks for the majority of Stoke fans as to how we perceived the game and Hull's tactics (or should that be antics?)

There's a difference between playing for a penalty and taking a dive. Ric knew Myhill would clip him, he's not moved his leg into Myhill nor has he hurdled him. He's left his leg in there as he knows Myhill's momentum would clip him and take him down.
Ric won the ball, Myhill didn't, Myhill caught Ric at speed. I can see why Hull would be cut up but in all honesty I think it was the right decision.
I've seen a bit of debate about it and the Tango-rimmers and pundits seem to be taking Hull's side, yet the ex-Pro's seemt o be taking Ric's. Somewhat interesting, I believe.

Was it a penalty ... in this day and age ... yes. Was the touch enough to bring a grown man down ... no way but "going down when touched" seems to be allowed these days so why Rici shouldn't do it while every other fucker in the league does it i've no idea. I don't like the rule myself and believe you should 'try' and stay on your feet at all times. The ref 'should' still make the same decision but we all know they wouldn't so we have this crappy result where if you breath on someone in the box and they "go down" it's a penalty. I don't like it but that is where we are and therefore it wasn't a dive ... it was felt a touch and went down.

Fuller fully admitted he went down - ie dived. Sadly cheating is now an acceptable part of the game, as long as it fools the ref it is ok. Shearer subscribes to that theory in that you can 'make' penalties. Personally i would like it to be stamped out. If it had been Hull getting the penalty there would have been an outcry on here.

Is it a penalty if you go down when you otherwise would have been able to stay on your feet? Dishonesty in going down and then too much honesty admitting it.
