We are the new media darlings.
Two in two weeks.
One draw and an away win coming up as well.

Have we ever won a match when we have been shown in the main match of ITV's The Championship, because I can't recall when we have?
I hope it's not a bad omen.

i honestly think, with the high the team and the fans are on, we will do ipswich with a few goals to spare
Ipswich 1 - 4 Stoke (Fuller x 2 , Cresswell and Pugh)

They haven’t lost a home league game all season (I think – correct me if I’m wrong).
Tad optimistic Ben?

I hope you are right Ben. It'll make great Sunday morning viewing watching highlights of a Stoke 4-1 win, instead of Hollyoaks for a change. ;D

I think the last time we were the featured match was Colchester away last season, when our clean sheet run came to a spectacular end when we were dicked 3-1 I believe.

Boother,
On the OS it says we have been on twice this season as well. The away defeats at Southampton and Bristol City. That's why I'm getting a little superstitious of us being the featured match on the program.

Ahh okay, I don't manage to catch it every week at Uni and couldn't remember reading anything about us on the Oatie, although now you come to mention it I did see the Bristol highlights. My apologies.

A draw would do me fine, but with all these new arrivals,.. competition for places might inspire us to a fantastic victory

if we were playing a team at the bottom of the table then i would say a bad result, but we always play up to the higher placed teams

they have got a great home record but if TP can keep the lads going from the newcastle game there is no reason why we couldnt beat the tractor boys!
too right sunday morning viewing would be vastly improved baddo if we win!

The omens don't look good do they? We've only lost two away games this season - both featured on TV They are unbeaten at home

A win would be nice to keep us in touch. Press like we did against Newcastle and we have a good chance... btw how do you find out what the featured match is this soon? I've always had great trouble finding out...

Stoke-In-Ed, if you have Sky you can quite easily tune your Sky box to pick up regional ITV channels. O you will be able to watch it. PM me and il send links and instructions etc if you want them.

I seiously reckon it will be a draw, Ipswich are a possession team and like to pass the ball around and I don't think we will allow them to do that. If we go and impose ourselves on them they could be forced to just keeping it in their half and going for a draw against us. That won't suit our counter-attacking style. I think they'll be happy for a point which will make it difficult for us to achieve anything else, to be honest.
Nontheless, give 'em hell, laddies! ;D

i had a dream, ipswich 0-2 stoke parkin and a simmo header from 37 yards, top corner. hope it comes true.

Post by POS51 on Jan 11, 2008 21:14:09 GMT
Who was in goal if Simmo was scoring from a header?
|
|
|
Post by Pretty Little Boother on Jan 11, 2008 21:15:22 GMT
Parkin would be by far a better keeper than Simmo if he just lay down in front of goal.

|
Post by boothenendboy on Jan 11, 2008 21:19:39 GMT
simmo went up for a 2nd minute header and an ipswich defender cleared the ball, which then hit parkins 7th roll of fat and flew into the net.
