As it stands the following players have clocked up the following number of yellow cards (on top of any previous "sets of 5" they might have recieved) - given that its 5 cards and you miss a game.....
Griffin - 4 Pugh - 4 Eustace - 3 Delap - 3 Wilkinson - 3 Lawrence - 2 Shawcross - 2 Fuller - 2 Cresswell - 2 Parkin - 1 Sidibe - 1 Matteo - 1 Zakuani - 1

Shawcross? I see he has 8 for the season so I guess he's on 3.

Missed off Shawcross and Zakuani.
I counted a total of 7 competitive yellow cards for Shawcross so far this season - all league games - Cardiff(A), Barnsley(H), WBA (A), Scunthorpe(A), Norwich(H), Blackpool (A), Barnsley(H).... have I missed any?

Official site says 8 for Shawcross.
That includes Rochdale (A) Carling cup.
Carling Cup bookings do not count towards suspension tally, so he has 8 altogether, but only 7 contribute towards suspensions.
Hope that helps!

mrblobbysdad the same applies to Cresswell as well who has also served a suspension and is also on 7 or 8 bookings i think.

To be fair to mrblobbysdad, he states that the figures are 'on top of any previous sets of 5'.
Cheers for the info mrblobbysdad

Right, that also means Dicko is one less yellow as he picked up a yellow against Rochdale in the League Cup too. Cheers!

the official club site has Cressy down for one more league match yellow card than I can find on other sources (whoch list which matches the bookings were recieved in). I'll look over the old match reports and see where the descrepancy is.

As a few sources seem to have Cresswell down for a total of 8 yellow cards this season, that seems fair to assume it is correct. Given one of these is a League cup yellow, that doesnt count towards your 'set of 5' and you recieve a ban, so he has 7 in total, meaning only 2 cards so far towards his next ban.

isn't it 5 yellows and a 1 match ban, 10 yellows a 2 match ban, 3 yellows a 3 match ban and so on?
if it is it means shawcross and lawrence are only a few away from a 2 match ban

crewepotter The thing with carling Cup bookings not counting towards a suspension was introduced to "encourage" the "big boys" to take the competition more seriously and to field their first team. Obviously this has been a roaring success with all the Premier League clubs now fielding full strength teams throughout the competition.
