I am genuinely optimistic for tomorrows game, the reasons being Ipswich remind me a lot of the Baggies, maybe not in attitude but in the fact they like to dominate sides.
They like to have time to pass the ball about and get into a rhythm, like the Albion I can’t see us allowing that to happen. I honestly can see us disrupting their style of play and frustrating them in the first half. They are used to pretty much getting their own way at home and I believe they will become reckless in their attempts to impose themselves on us if we have stifled them in the first half. of the game.
If they can’t get into their passing rhythm then I believe they will show the same frailties they have away from home and this will play into our hands, you do have to wonder if they have soft under belly considering they have hardly picked up a point on the road.
If any side can take advantage of this at the moment it has to be us. We have a never give up spirit as was shown at Barnsley and Scunthorpe, where we looked to be taking nothing yet came away with 4 points because we played till the final whistle.
I am not getting carried away, it will be a very tough game you don’t build a record like Ipswich if you can’t play but I honestly believe if we can stifle and frustrate them we can expose their possible lack of enthusiasm for a battle like we did with the Albion and if we can do that then there’s no reason why we can’t end their unbeaten home record tomorrow
Come on Stoke three points would make everyone’s weekend perfect.
