I feel that a lot of us are getting far too concerned with the FA cup replay than they are about our bread & butter fixture against Ipswich on Saturday.
It would be great to beat the geordies but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we lose, on the other hand a loss at Ipswich could see us fall further behind in the promotion race and that could be very detrimental to Stoke as a club looking to make the bigtime.
hopefully the players are focusing on the league fixture for now, we can worry about the FA cup on Weds and not before.
yours faithfully

FFS We play Ipswich before the Geordies, whats the problem,to beat them then take on Arsenal will give our team and supporters a terrific boost. We will be seen Nationally and make us more popular in respect of other signings. Come on Stoke!!!

For once I am in agreement with Moorlander. The players will be excited about the trip to Newcastle but I'm sure they are all professional enough to realise that it is vital that they don't let it affect their form or concentration for the Ipswich game.
We have to get it into our heads as supporters that the better our team is, the more "big" games we are going to play. We as fans have to enjoy that experience not worry about it.

If we beat Newcastle and have a crack at Arsenal the players will be extremely tired. All the Haters will blame it on the FA cup that we have a bad run in the league. All saying Pulis shouldn't have put out his first team and that it was unwise When that was what they wanted anyway.

Very Wise Rhodesy
You understand the mind of a Pulis Hating Wankstain only too well.
Your Dad must be very clever to have passed such insight onto you.

I hope you pair of rimmers realise that you have a fucking long way to fall when it all goes tits up....and it will one day....trust me. I won't be there to catch you. I'll be there to kick the fucking shit out of the pair of you when you finally get back down to earth from your lofty, rimming perches. I'm a patient fella. You'd better prepare that young bugger for some gippo, Merk. There's a load of us just waiting for the day. I suppose when it does happen, you can slink off over to OVF out of the way where the opposition is less challenging. OS.

Like MarkWankstainton said on UNPC, and AGSF kept the quote somewhere I think, but it went along the lines of 'Of course it will end badly on day'. I'll ask AGSF to re-post it for me at the correct time. Lucky for me OS that I didn't make any bold predictions - I just thought that Pulis could get us in the top 6 given the right backing. One thing is for certain, he seems to be getting the backing where he has no excuses. If end up being wrong, then I'm wrong but I think I've seen enough to satisfy that it was worth a try.....especially when I see how all the other candidates have been getting on. I'd rather be in my shoes because I have a chance - Pulis Hating Wankstains have already been proved wrong to a far higher degree. Binary football Negative turgid football Won't play youngsters Only midtable Afraid to spend money Good players won't sign for us etc etc Lozza is a morris marina I'm not getting too excited as we haven't done anything yet as the wankstains have correctly (first time for everything) pointed out. Generally enjoying the football and having the odd swipe at the cuntflaps on here though.

I'm enjoying the nogger too, Merk. As a hypocritical PHW, I can't lose. Either I get to see things on a 42" widescreen, or if we fall back to the black and white telly, I can take my frustrations out on you and young whippersnapper. How will you cope if we don't make the play-offs? OS.

I'd like us to beat Newcastle and then Arsenal too. We seem to have a problem at attracting players to our club sometimes, so success and greater exposure in the FA cup might sway the minds of good players thinking about join us. And, success breeds confidence. If we can do well in the cup, I'd hope that would follow over to our league performances too.

You pair are like a stopped moonface granddaughter clock.....pretty to look at, occasionally right but very little going on inside. You both need winding up. I've smited you, Para, for siding with the fatfucker. OS.

cup runs don't matter shit if you're not doing well in the league. i don't remember an influx of quality players to Milwall. I f we're still top 6 and beat Newcastle, we'd have more of a chance but by then the window will have closed, wont' it?
