Pugh, Cort, Griffin, Shawcross and Diao still to come into the team, I don't think TP is doing too badly 10 days in.

so far 10 days into the transfer window we have seen Stoke city spend £3m and secure the services of the best center half since Denis Smith hung his boots up.

Stoke wouldn't of announced it unless they had sorted Shawcross's contract out. The only sticking point is the bartering over the add on's from the foster deal.

point of order - Shawcross is excellent but Bould was the best centreback since Denis.
- imho -
mind you @ 20 Bould was playing rightback & looked on like Bambi on ice.

at the end of the day. The transfer window is a joke, premeirship teams dont want to let there fringe players go in January becasue if they get an injury they may find it hard to find cover whereas back in the day if they got a long term injury, they could get on the blower and buy a player to cover the injury but this is not the case no more.
TP wants to buy players that will improve our squad, and they clearly should be premeirship fringe players. No point buying a ageing, unfit, injuryprone centeral defender or a 16 year old, only ever played in the academy striker that wont improve our squad. These types of players are the only players that prem teams want to get rid of.
It's very tough to find a decent player, for a fair price tag now a days, especially when you are shopping in January
