I noticed the attendence at the Vale's last home game against Barnet was 4617.
Now correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure some retired Bottom prober from the Lake District will) but at the last count didn't the Vale 5000 appeal get 6066 pledges for season tickets.
What happened ?

GD,
Ours is not to question why, Ours is just to point and laugh.

Actually, in a moment of rare seriousness and clarity, aren't ST holders automatically counted on the attendance?
If so, have the Vale lied about the spectacular success of conning 5,000 unwashed people to buy £10 Season Tickets for a season?

As I am also a Vale ST holder, the ones who didn't turn up last night were the lucky ones, it was freezing and the game was awful. Lord - If you are going to accuse Vale of not doing things properly at least spell it properly

Their results improved a little when Glover first took over, but it seems that mini bubble has burst, wonder how long it will be before they want Glover out,I don't think many were that keen in the first place.

The idea is to confuse the Inland Revenue....which isn't too difficult as I have proved for the last 30 years...

Under 9's got free season tickets... I bought 200 of them for a laugh . I bet there are thousands of kids that recieved free tickets from their family or friends of family or their friends dad or whatever just incase they ever wanted to go... and probably never will. I don't think the Vale board thought hard enough about the scheme, with every Vale fan and their dog owning a season ticket (and trading in a packet of peanuts for the privilege) who is going to pay on the gate? The only income they are going to get on matchdays is from the travelling supporters (200 on a good day?) Anybody know what the percentage of paying season ticket holders is?

I think they said that there were 86 or was it 84 Barnet fans there last night. Not too shoddy a following considering, but it's not going to make you rich.
By the time the turnstyle operators and the stewards in the end have been paid, it doesn' leave much left.
