Lets hope it isnt Harewood. I have a couple of pals who are Villa Season Ticket Holders, both state he will do us no good at all. He might fit TPs bill, being big and black.

A centre back and a solid defensive midfielder! Black, 6'2'' is a minimum, nobody else need apply. On a serious note though, I'd like to think that TP has a few strikers lined up, a creative midfielder and a LEFT winger. That is essential surely. Harewood and Camara be nice?

Pacey left winger and a decent striker who is hungry for goals.I think tone will focus on those areas in jan.

Pacey left winger and a decent striker who is hungry for goals.I think tone will focus on those areas in jan. I sincerely hope he does, and while he's at it we need to get rid of some of the 'deadwood' within the ranks starting with Pericard,Pugh and one or two others. That should bring the wage bill down quite considerably. He might aswell offer Kitson as a swap deal with Wolves for Iwelumo, and perhaps throw in Pericard too if McCarthy would be daft enough to do it. I might even take a chance on Kevin Phillips for a season if we could manage to squeeze him away.. If

Big John.....Well , should we wait another 14 games then and see if Kitson can double his current tally.?
Iwelumo is a far more experienced and better player now than the one that left Stoke a while back.... If he hadn't improved I would not be suggesting it.!

Nahh. Still not having he's better than Kitson mate. As it happens i was saying we should sign big Chris as a sqad player because thats what he would be. Sidibe and Fuller every day of the week month and year for me.

I think Zamora would be a great signing, he has speed and trickery and a good eye for goal - would be good competition for Fuller.

Nice retort you footballing dunce! Iwelumo for Kitson? Certainly one of your more ridiculous suggestions, which is going some in your book. I'd give them Pericard though.

Unlike you Plymumf I'm more than happy to admit when I get things wrong.

Kitson for Loomoo...now thats funny. I am in the keep Kitson camp as for new players....its been obvious now since May that we need left sided pacy midfield player and a creative central midfielder.....6 months later we still haven't filled those gaps. Surely he must have someone lined up!

TP wants Manucho on loan, and is showing more than just a passing interest in Danny Haynes for the left wing

I think Zamora would be a great signing, he has speed and trickery and a good eye for goal - would be good competition for Fuller. I think he was joking. Why on earth would Zamora leave a club in London he has just signed for, who are higher in the league and undoubtably pay more wages than us? Some people need to get real. Harewood would be a coup for us - I personally do not rate him, but we're never going to sign anyone more high profile than him.

Harewood would be a decent signing for us. He hasn't set the world alight, but when he is given a chance at Villa he seems to take it. I'd like to see him join, although where he would fit I don't know as Mama and Riccy are our first choice plus we also have Kits.

Manucho looked absolutely amazing for Angola in the ANC,scores goals from anywhere.
surely a loan deal or two will be on the cards for TP in Jan?

Kits for Lumo - I'll have a pint of whatever mumf is drinking!!
Manucho on loan and Haynes from Ipsh!t for a wide spot sound much more like our Tone. I can still see Harewood being in his thoughts though - he is just SO a Tone target!

Is Bobby Z playing every week for Fulham? Appreciate that if he is there is no way he would move, but if he has been ousted by AJ or whoever he might be looking around.

I hope we do get Harewood, great striker, him and fuller would be a formidable partnership IMO.
Ebanks Blake too!

Harewood is a possibility, but i'm not sure he's worth what we'd probably have to pay for him (£5m?)
Maybe a cheap Fuller back-up could be Lita? He's still being loaned out everywhere by reading, and norwich aren't going to go up. Reckon we could get him for about £1.5m.
Henri Camara would be good, but i just don't think that Wigan will let him go when he's on their fringes - he scored the winner for them on monday too.

Haynes wouldn't be a good signing imo. Too inconsistant. People complained and scoffed at Aaron Lennon being little more than a player who could run - Haynes is much in the same vein, but I'm not wholly convinced he's too good a dribbler or deliverer. And isn't he a right-sided player? Victor Moses may be a better option, and would fulfill that striker-cum-winger void Cresswell could, hopefully, be removed from.
It strikes me that sides staying up always get a player in January who lifts the whole side and crowd. A real star and player who makes things happen.
Portsmouth - D'Alessandro Bolton - Okocha Bolton - Djorkaeff Birmingham - Dugarry West Ham - Tevez Fulham - Montella
Splashing out on a six month contract/loan for a bloke to get balls in the box or net and pull something out of nothing could be invaluable.
