Having exceeded all expectations and achieved automatic promotion last season, I approached this season with very little ambition other than to survive. Tonight we stand just 6 points below Arsenal in 5th place( next game away to Chelsea). Our achievments to date are: 1.Beaten Arsenal,Spurs & Villa 2.Drawn at Anfield 3.Reached last 8 of the League Cup 4.Upset Arsenio Whinger & Tiny Moanbray 5.Discovered in Rory a worldwide talking point 6.Established a defensive bedrock that looks secure against all but the very best -that we can build on knowing we are not a soft touch Now with a little more attacking ambition we can establish at least a comfortable mid table position

The danger is that with a little more "attacking ambition" we end up on the scrap heap like Pardew

Totally agree Swampy. Lots of posters on here are demanding a more attacking formation but we must maintain the "defensive bedrock" that is frustrating the fuck out of tossers like Arsene. The more attacking outlook will come from a growing confidence rather than a cavalier approach. It is noticeable that players like Ryan,Mama,Rory and Ricci are growing in stature.Just a little more quality in midfild is needed
