Seriously Steino - if you want the club to take your complaint seriously - cut out the abuse of the stewards, references to their colour and the jobs they are better suited to. That way the club might listen and give you a proper reply.
However, the rule about bottle tops seems to apply at most grounds so I don't think you'll get it changed.

Stewards at Stoke are indeed some of the strangest ive ever seen.
Last season underneath the Boothen end concouirse downstairs I walked straight in with a shoulder bag containining 4 cans of Stella and proceeded to talk to one of the stewards about the upcoming game while openly drinkling them and I can say not one said a word.
JS lower a few games ago and my dad who is a pensioner gets told off for "celebrating a goal in the wrong manner" His crime was leaving his seat and jumping up and down in the isle. I wouldnt mind but he was sitting on the end of the row anyway. Hardly murder is it.

The stewards at stoke who wear the orange are ok, but the hard men who wear the yellow are a joke. Are they new for this season or were they bought in to stop smoking in the bogs? They are not needed

Ive noticed there are a few types of steward.... 1.Black Africans....cant speak much English but do as theyre asked to.e.g. When asked not to stand in front of my view they sit down. 2.Half Caste English.....Usually from the black country, bad attitude and WONT listen to anyone. 3.Women.......Cmon!most are waddling around shouting in radios. 4.White blokes......usually spotty oiks who darent do anything remotely confrontational so no probs there.

I will leap to Lakelands defence here. I saw that huge unpunctuated thread by the original poster and briefly skimmed it. At first I thought perhaps here was a genuine complaint at over-policing at an experience he had paid money for. As soon as I saw the desciption "Asian persuasion" i thought - here's another petty racist with an axe to grind. This probably isn't the case. The OPs complaint was probably genuine and if the steward had been red-haired, he probably would have said "celtic persuasion." As for Goldengus - definite racist sympathiser whose up-tight because his address was on that BNP list and is currently being perused by everyone from Mi5, the CIA and Al-Qaeda.

It is a stupid rule which causes conflict and bad feeling while having no real impact on safety or security. I've complained about it myself in the past.
Clearly the most dangerous everyday item you can carry in is loose change, as demonstrated elsewhere this season. Can you see them searching everyone and removing their change before they let them in?
Frankly if you're stupid enough to throw anything on to the pitch, then with all the stewards and CCTV they have nowadays, they should be able to identify you and ban you for life with police prosecution if injury is caused. That should be the real deterrent, not nitpicking rules dreamed up by some security 'expert' who believes he should be running the SAS SP team.
As for stewards and the private security guys, most are just doing a good job in a professional way. Unfortunately this type of job does attract a lot of the Walter Mittys who see themselves as the 'lone gunfighter in town'. The only way to cure that is proper leadership, screening and training.
