All over the pitch!
from stoke city too ! coincident with Michael Tonges arrival as a sub
good movement, incisive short passes, flicks, tricks even and, players around him suddenly receiving the ball in space or, with time to think about where the next pass that would inflict maximum damage the opposition, could be threaded.
You only have to look at the replay of the winning goal to see an example of what he did for that last ten- fifteen minutes or so .
surely the lads earned a start now ?
and, how tasty would it be i.e., both Lawrence and Tonge in our starting eleven
and --why not ?
its a long season - hes overdue a proper chance now (IMHO)

He looks a player Tony doesn't he? Keeps the ball well and definitely deserves a start at home.

For all the bollocks I've heard about the football West Brazil play I thought they were absolutely gash yesterday.
Sexy football my arse.
About as sexy as Mowbury's mug.

Too right mate- to me its like having a fitter and younger 'Lee Hendrie' type player all over again
we must take advantage of such a player who, has shown us all too briefly, some real talent

I thought Tonge was a great addition to the team yesterday. This is exactly what we need, we've got a very good starting 11 but the bench is a bit sparse quality wise. Hopefully we'll see more of Tonge and more of the Tom Sores from a couple of weeks back.

I certainly think that Tonge deserves a start in the next game as he adds quality to the team.
It's a bit disappointing actually that although we've had him for 11 matches, he's only made 5 appearances, lasting 10, 26, 64, 21 and 26 minutes.
imo, he needs a good 90 minutes under his belt and i reckon that with Soares or even Lawrence on the other flank, he will shine and show even more so what a quality player is proving to be.

He was fantastic for a few years at Sheff Utd, I hope he's given the time to get back to that standard.

Ageed Tony. I think that in most home games at least, we only really need to start with 2 "sitting" midfielders, and should be able to accommodate two of Tonge, Soares, Lawro.
I know I have a bit of an unfair view of the lad, but I think that AM Faye is bloody hopeless at anything beyond defensive duty, and not all that good at that.

when all fit, Lawrence, Delap and Diao all need to start so that only leaves room for one of Tonge or Soares. With no Lawrence, SuperTone's preference seems to be to stick another 'sitter' in there - Olifinjana or Amdy Faye. I can't see SuperTone playing both Tonge and Soares unless we're 4-0 up against someone with 5 or 6 minutes to go. When Tonge came on yesterday Nige didn't have to tell us who was coming off....
