He is a class player and I have always thought this. He has proved so many wrong who said he wouldnt hack it in the prem. He really is putting in some graft and his performances are first rate. He must be worth 5-7 million on the current market not that we should sell him though. 3 goals so far as well this season is a good return as well for him.

lust4life,u have gotta be taking the piss mate ! Mama has never been a "player". The guy is a workhorse. "Players", I`m afraid ,have been few and far between at Stoke over the last 20 years.Big Mama cant be faulted for his effort or passion, and that`s what Stoke fans demand.NO GUTS NO GLORY !

i agree mate, many people said he was'nt good enough for the premier league but i personally think he's playing better in the prem than he did in the championship. he's never going to bag 20 a season but he makes up for it with effort, passion, and comittment.

Mama is everything I love about the spirit we've got in the team and the club, for me he's Mr Stoke at the moment.

Well according to my calculations and information from the stoke web site Mama weighs 12 stone 2 pounds, or 170 pounds or 2720 ounces. The current price of gold is £537.00. Therefore Mama is worth £1,460,640.00. Less than £1.5m. I think Mama is worth well more than his weight in gold.

Without Mama, we'd be struggling to survive, and probaly be a lot worse off than we are at the moment. A striker, he ain't, although seeing the shot he had today in the first half, and his header for the goal, it would be hard to improve on his performance. He is without doubt, one of the master cogs in our machine. When he's out, we grind exceedingly slowly and are very nondescript..

Mama is one of the most composed players in the side. So because he doesn't hit double figures over the season, that makes him a 'WORK HORSE'? His ability to keep the ball and link other players up is fantastic imo. Its just a bonus that he works his fuckin bollocks of aswell. The pin point cross for instance he provided for Delap against Spurs, who else in our side would do that???

i agree, he is like heskey but better, he is constantly good and in the orem with more time on the ball he really is showing how good he is
today i was worried without fuller would he cope(they know each others play really well) but today i felt he ran the line and cresswell put his shift in too, if sidibe scored 20 a season he would seriously be at chelsea or united

Free transfer from Gillingham - A remarkable aquisition and truly deserves legendary Stoke status for his guts, attitude, consistency and not inconsiderable ability.

If he was a 20 goal a season player he wouldn't have been at Gillingham, and we wouldn't have got him for free .
Fact is NOBODY plays the mama roll, like Mama, not even Drogba ;D

I remeber Big Mama's debut against Sheff Weds on the opening game of 2005 season at the Brit. (0-0 Kevin Harper missed penalty after that brilliant turn by Hoefkens)
Mama was immense that day - one of the best, hard working, non scoring debuts from a forward player that you are likely to see.
Always liked him since.

Mama is becoming a Stoke superstar now. He is a true Stokie, through and through, and im delighted he is a first team regular. At the moment, he is undroppable.
I always got behind him, i always will. Keep it up Mama.

I see Steve Bruce was at the game today. If Heskey leaves maybe that rumour about Bruce wanting Mama was true?
