I don't want to dwell on Saturday anymore BUT there isn't much in that I'd actually disagree with.

"Stoke City are a team comprised to attack singularly using long-throw gimmicks, with every position player looking like he should be playing Rugby"
"Games against these bottom-feeders demand three points"
The complete lack of any respect amazes me. Teams with very little money compared to 'United' and the other teams who have been sucking the lifeblood out of football with the Premiership cash cow are expected to come to places like Old Trafford and out football them? Give me a break.......

Is it from an American site?
The Yanks shouldn't be allowed to talk about footy- they know fuck all.

Mmmm. Thing is whenever I hear an American accent talking about football I always get the feeling they don't know what they are on about by virtue of their accent. Probably harsh but still.

Has to be one of the most arrogant / biased pieces of journalism ive ever had the privelige to read, although quite worryingly I found myself agreeing with alot of it.
We might both play in the premier league but sadly Man u v Stoke is nowhere a level playing field in terms of wealth, so was the result any suprise really? Probably not.
I tell you one thing though, and many may disagree with me for saying this, but id rather get relegated than be taken over by some Arab / oil tycoon who has absolutely no interest in football or more importantly Stoke City. Do we really want to end up like Man City? No atmosphere, half empty ground? No, we are stoke so lets no forget it.

How much did Man Utd pay for Welbeck, Evans and O'Shea?
Welbeck, a 17-year-old and playing in the Premier League. What are the chances of that happening at Stoke City?
Kind of makes you think, doesn't it?
I bet Wedderburn is saying, why can't I play in the Premier League?
Soares and Tonge are probably asking the same question?

I can see the point you're trying to make, but even the youth set-up of clubs like Stoke can't hope to compete with the big four. Manure can cherry-pick the best young talent, and this is to the detriment of smaller clubs' academies. O'Shea and Evans are not even English, so it's not as if it's all local talent coming through is it?

Edwin van der Sar made a brilliant save on Delap's first long-throw, only for the deflection to be credited to the crossbar by the commentary duo.
hit the cross bar didnt it? daft ****

We don't help ourselves by missing so many chances at home from open play. We've seen at least 8 golden chances go begging from a variety of players, that's not counting the several very good saves that have been made to keep us out.
If we'd put away those chances, the comments would be very different.
