Our old hero Bertie Biggins was once suspended for 6 games. I believe by the same ref (Alcock?) who was pushed over by DiCanio.
What match was it ?
I remember Bertie being sent off in the Autoglass replay v Peterborough when he had been substituted. But I don't think that this was the game which resulted in his long ban
Did Bertie ever score a hat trick for us - I don't think so in a league game

Did'nt Bertie get sent off towards the end of the season - ( Autoglass season )
it could of been against Brentford or Huddersfield, and he was suspended for the playoff matches against Stockport, and I always thought he was suspended for the second leg against Peterboro?? I can remember him coming on the pitch at the end of the game, and having a bit of argy-bargy with one of the peterboro staff.
Saying that though I'm not entirely sure.

I remember him being sent off away at Reading for arguing I think after Lee Sandford was given a red 92/93 I think. he was banned for a while after that It was a night match and the train strike was on - I missed a connection and had to pay £40 in taxi - We then went onto lose 4-0 I was sat in the directors box a few seats away from Mr Madjeski

Not sure if i'm mistaken but iI seem to recall that neither Stein , Biggins or Sheron ever got hat-tricks for us. Sturridge did at Southend and did Foley v Barnet?

Vinny was sent off at Reading, then Bertie "contested the decision" , an' aye, it was Stigger who chipped in the hat-trick against Barnet! Talkin' o' Barnet, "Cool Kenny Lowe"...what a player! ;D
