Sat in Stretford end with a mate. Great view and they were very noisey in there.
Several of the fans around me knew I was a Stokie. After the game they said the big difference between us and Hull was that Hull had a go. They were in the face of United as soon as they got the ball.
We were too scared and didnt get up them enough. As soon as we got the ball there was a United player in our face and we shat ourselves.
When we were going forward we were not quick enough with the ball and there was no support from midfield.
hull gave it a go and got a lot of respect from the utd fans. We were like rabbits in the headlights and got what we deserved.
The early goal kiled us off and we were unable to come to terms with what to do. we know have to pick aouselves up and get 6 points from our next 2 games.

Mmmm. Thats why Soares needs to start against Brazil IMHO.

I agree we did give them too much respect and failed to work hard and close them down plus rough them up a little but I have no problem with going to OT and defending yesterday but you must have a outlet and also support Ric when he has the ball.

I think that's a pretty fair assessment to be honest.
Our main strength is our work-rate and commitment, and when it's either not there or our opponents match it or better it, then we look a pretty poor side.
I don't think anyone, apart from the deluded, thought we had a serious chance of getting anything from yesterday's game, but it was disappointing to see our players overawed by their opponents and the surroundings.
It was just a day out for too many of a Stoke City persuasion yesterday.

We cant keep playing away from home like this, why not have a go at teams like hull do, last week at wigan was horrible and we all knew if we went to old trafford and play like that we would get hammered. Amdy faye oli and cresswell aint good enough, lets give tonge Whelan and soares a go, at least they can pass the. We totally bottled it yesterday

It was dire.
Brilliant vocal support, wrong team selection and put up the white flag before the game.
The african midfield doesn't work, we need footballers in there, players who can pass to each other and connect to and support the attack. We do not have any width at the moment either, Tonge, Soares and Lawrence when fit should be fighting for the two places.

Maybe its better to put a weakened team out against the likes of Man U..Chelsea..Liverpool etc and save the best players for 'bread and butter' matches...does it really matter whether we lose 1-0 or 10-0...if it means we pick-up just one extra point...for resting our top players.. What a snub that would be to these footballing Multi-Nationals...having 'small-clubs playing the reserves... The definitive insult...

I dont like saying this but we were awful.
Only Griff and Shawcross came out with credit.
The whole of the midfield was cumbersome.
really looked poor to me.

The match was over once the first goal went in. How many away goals have we scored? Three!!
Down to tactics, 4 midfielders with no creativity. Pulis at his best.
We need points away, we need to be more positive. Whilst 5 goals at Old Trafford isnt a disaster, the way that we played is.
