Mr Scholes gives a fuck about the type of supporter this idea was originally targeted at. No honest, he really does. Not.

Mr Scholes gives a fuck about the type of supporter this idea was originally targeted at. No honest, he really does. Not. I'm 100% in agreement. Just for once, it would be nice to see some form of CHEAP DEAL that all supporters can take advantage of (cheap / free coaches for example) and not just the £200+ corporate jollies. This is a good package, and Scholes has done well to negociate it (should pay for the team's travel if enough people subscribe) but it is hardly something the average fan can make use of, and for a glamour cup tie, that's a bit sad. And never mind ID cards (and no, you won't need one, if memory serves me correct) can you smoke in that private bar!?* that's the bloomin question! At four fags a half, that's about £35 a fag ... a bit less if we make extra time and penos ... I still can't see me missis going for it, but you never know ... * - and obviously the answer is no you can't!ah

i know yea i was hoping for just the plane ticket type deal for as little as possible, maybe they could have done this as well, made your won way to and from the airport and then just did whatever once you landed in castle!!!

I've seen the package being offered by the club and to be honest all taken into account it's a good deal, but perhaps not one for the ordinary supporter who doesn't want the peripheral stuff. I hoped for a £145 price flight only that could have been acheived (knowing the inc. charter price), but the club is entitled to market it as best it sees fit and adding all of the other stuff in not bad. However, I feel the ordinary supporter and that includes me has been priced out. An opportunity missed perhaps.
Well done for the club seeing the opportunity to make it special and I know that what we did on here (and other boards) did make a BIG difference to the original team-only plans. Enjoy the experience.

KE why aren't you going? If the seats are inthe John Hall stand it will be hospitality and you won't need ID cards. Or you could go as Scholsey's guest. He ows you a favour for helping with the groundwork.

that's a fair deal and I think if I was based in Blighty might have been worth a go. As it is flights to Newcastle from Frankfurt are around the €500 mark, so I guess I'll have to make do with the TV coverage.

Relatively short journey for you then! Makes a change.... Great road alongside Hadrians Wall.
