Any favoured watering holes near the ground for visiting supporters?

footballgroundguide.co.uk suggests the railway which is near to the station....which suits me fine as we are travelling by train from three bridges. (working down south does have some perks, only two and a half hours on the train)
it is about a quarter of a mile walk from the ground as well, which means drinking time will not have to end till about 2.40-2.45 ;D ;D

The Drum and Monkey near the station has been an away fans pub for a few years... i used to live down that way, and always went in here when Stoke were in town. Bit of a dive, but always safe !

Banburypotter, I heard there were engineering works between Liverpool St and Stratford......and that all ipshit trains are leaving from stratford.......

that will be why i noticed we had a change at stratford then, we don't normally. i believe stratford is the 1st station from liverpool st, i may be wrong.

best pub is the station pub opposite the station suprisingly. The drum and monkey closed down, and rightly so. How many will we bring does anyone think?

The Station has the footie on, but drinking out of plastic glasses is not good.
Was in there last season for the Ipshit match, but atmosphere was poor, could have done with one or two renditions of Delilah. Sing up boys!!!
New Orleans in Cardinals Park is okay, 5 minute walk from ground. Don't think they would appreciate any singing though!
