I'm travelling with the mrs who doesn't have an ID card.
Will she get into the match?
She could borrow one but will it be checked?
What do you reckon, should I be worried?

I thought the club would have done a guest list for this one??? Speak to the club and see what they say. They are normaly Stoke stewards that check the cards I think so you may be ok. Mind you having said that......  |

I know of at least one occasion this year where people have forgotten i.d cards and still got in. One fella even got in with an R.A.C card i seem to remember last year.

I've taken a friend before who's not had a card or been on the list. A quiet word to one of the stewards is usually enough, provided she doesn't look like a hoolie  |

Tell her just to walk past the stewards and if they ask her she should say that you've got it... borrowing an id card would bet the best idea though.

The ID card is not needed for the ManU game because Stoke have announced they are suspending it from that game for a trial period. I suppose they couldn't suspend it for the Wigan game because they had not given the police due notice as the Police might have wanted to switch the kick off time to 8.00 am. ;D

For the last few games I have opened my wallet and shown the steward the top line of the card only - no picture or anything!!

i lost my id card the day before man city away but got in there with no problems, i just explained and they checked me on the banned list
im going tommorow with no i.d as well so hopefully *touchwood* i should be fine again
so might be worth telling them she's lost her card?

If you get in trouble just ask people around you in the queue "You've seen us at away games before haven't you?" Everyone will say yes so that the queue moves quicker |
