i know a lot of people on here dont like him but a nice little segment with his opinions on us...
'rory's had a throw like that for years and no-one in this league whinged about it but because they're in the premier league people dont like it and i love that. im enjoying watching their progress in the premier.
never once had complaint when ive come up against tony's stoke side about the way they've played.'
he almost sounded like a stoke supporter. good man.

it does seem that other managers are universally supporting us. So Wenger is clearly out on his own here, more or less. Zola can fuck off an' all!

Despite Wenger being Adams' boss for a good number of years, it was interesting to hear drunken Tony's comments supporting us yesterday.

Some of the johnny-come-lately nouveau Gunners supporters should put down the camembert baggets and listen to the likes of him and Steve Bould. (OK Bouldie will be biased, he's a Stokie - but the point is Arsenal actually achieved something with the likes of those guys who weren't afraid to play tough).

lou macari has just said exactly that in a discussion about tomorrows match with nigel winterburn...
"to stop man utd tomorrow, arsenal are going to HAVE to get physical and let the likes of rooney, ronaldo, berbatov that they're in a game. im not sure they've got anyone who can/will do it."

Quite how Arsenal can complain about ugly football when they had two of Trentham Garden's Monkey Forrest finest as their central defensive partnership for so long is astonishing to say the least.

Msaybe because McCarthy and Adams had the guts for a battle unlike Van Persie, Adebayor etcwho look like they would have trouble in the soiling the pants department watching 'Scooby Doo'

What did Adams actually say? Something along the lines of 'the game needs defenders and people who tackle firm but fair. that's the way i played and that's the way i want my team to perform. Arsene(hole) was unjustified in what he said' The orange one said 'you know what you're up against when you play stoke at home. A physical battle that you wont get anywhere else in ther premier league'

Bayern, Adams said something along the lines of “I was always competitive in my career. I always played hard but I played fair.” Which is basically what Pulis has been saying this week – “we’re competitive but we’re not dirty”

On the subject of Arsenal's 'tougher' men, Mark Lawrenson mentioned a number of them who have played under Wenger in recent years- Adams, Bould, Keown, Petit, Vieira, Parlour et al. It's hardly as if they weren't successful

McCarthy was spot on when he said championship sides never moaned and they coped with the throw better than prem teams. The prem is in its own little bubble and us mighty potters are bursting it! GO'AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNN STOKE

It's hardly as if they weren't successful you could say he's become so wrapped up and obsessed with 'playing good football' he's forgotten how to win. its like he believes all his own hype which is weird for a supposedly intelligent man.

I have been watching it myself, it is good that so many have come out in support for us & some have even surprised me. I think now this issue should be put to bed. Wenger once again has proved he is a mardarse and a poor loser and yet again made himself look a first class nob. Tony has conducted himself with great dignity throughout & i just hope none of this has distracted him & the players from the game tomorrow. Gooooooooaaarnnn Stoke!!!
