He's bloody effective from the bench though should we need him.

he will score as a 2nd half sub
or it may the right time for kitson to play as the main striker against a lower team for the first time

Pulis and Kemp were very pissed off about it last night. I loved the way Pulis said he had terrorised West brom in the past two years (which he has). He's not definately out of the match but an early doubt to start Going back to Ric's last international travels...on the day of the match against Spurs he slept through his alarm and was late to the ground....hence the reason he started on the bench!

What better way for Kitson to be an instant hero. Hope Fuller could play some part though

Get Ab Faye to drag him out of bed* then get him tanked up on Pro Plus and Rocket Fuel coffee. * Because "he does not sleep - he waits".

Got to say I had my doubts all of last season and said that I wouldn't be too upset if he left at the end of it. I was referring to his languid style, his nonchalence when losing a ball, his body language in general. I'm pleased to see that TP has referred to it, today, but disturbed that he makes exuses and admits that he must 'bend' for Ricardo. How is that fair to the others? Kitson, for one, will work his socks off, willing to defend etc and yet takes all the flack. Fuller often mopes around and gets fulsome the, regardless. This is not the Championship and you cannot have a player being favoured or a player allowed to laze in training, (presumably why no other PL team kept or came in for him) as he apparently does, according to TP. On top of that, he is now hopping off to the Caribbean, even for meangless friendlies, AND taking longer than normal to recover. Imagine what the likes of Smithy (or now, Shawcross) would make of it. Or Griff, who is flogging his guts out, and riding out our criticism of him? We are desparate for stability and slowly sorting out the belatedly acquired squad. In our situation, it is absurd to rely so much on one who comes and goes, albeit with sensational goals and, let' be honest, not exactly netsful of those. We need two new forwards, unless Kitson comes good. I'd like Riccy to make it for the second half v WBA, but it may be too late by then and hope he doesn't fall asleep on the pitch. Come to think of it, he has had a few near misses, coma-wise, so far.

By then Kitson may have got off the mark, and he and Sidibe can play first half, then supersub Ric can come on and make it 4-0

open your eyes Monica the sulking hot & cold fUller has been replaced (on the pitch @ least) by the uber-pro.
no moping around, patiently waiting for his chance to run at defenders, tracking back even.running off the ball. oh & 5 goals.

Bollocks Monica - you can keep your grafters and enjoy lower league football. I want to see the Fuller's & Berbatov's of this world who have the ability to actually win matches.

Stick to the football politics Monica, because you're clueless when it comes to the football pitch.

Monica, I understand where you're coming from, but in Ric we have something very, very special. He may look uninterested at times, and take the piss whilst oversleeping, getting stuck in Miami etc, but it's a price we pay for the most talented footballer we've had down Stoke in the past 25 years or so. Pulis has shown himself to be an excellent man manager, and he knows how to handle Ric. I know it can get tiresome when he makes excuses for him by saying 'that's Ric for you', and seem unfair on the other players who slog their guts out week in week out, but we need him. No one player will keep us up this year, but Fuller will prove critical to how successful we are in that fight. I can hand on heart say that I wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the world. Even someone like Robinho, as laughable as it may sound, but hear me out. Fuller fits our style of play perfectly and knows how to make the most of us, and create chances. I can't see any other striker a) utilising our unique style so well, and b) being happy to carve out chances from frig all but the odd flick on. Kitson so far (a proven goalscorer and our record signing) has proved that this team is difficult to make/take chances in. For me, Kitson's failure this season only highlights just how good a player Fuller is....

if he gets booked against wigan and man ure he will be suspended anyway That was my first reaction as soon as I read it
Surely a game he may not play in, is worth him getting the booking/bookings required for a suspension (which will be inevitable sooner rather than later anyway)
Mourinho was clued up when the likes of Drogba and Essien were close to suspensions - they never missed BIG games

bloody hell mrs i take it your not a fan of super ricky then? what you describe is man management and the best managers allways do it. you have to remember footballers dont exist in the real world[tis a shame but bosman changed that and not for the better] cant see him making starting eleven its a bloody long flight from the carribean, would like to see him play some part thou, but what an excellent oportunity for kitson to show us what he has?
