One has just been reviewing ones news papers, and one cant help thinking what a load of wimps the people of this country are.
Blizzards bring chaos to the country one reads. Flip me they are on about an inch of snow which lasted all of about 3 hours before it melted.
Years ago we use to have an easy winter if there was just a foot of snow on the ground. One would think nothing of sending one butler down to the shops on foot in 18 inch's of the white stuff and he did not moan!

Agreed Lord I have got the mother of all journeys to get back for the match tonight as the M40 is shut and they don't expect it to re-open untill midd afternoon. A little snow and ice and accidents a plenty.

One can remember when it was 2 to 3 foot deep on Hilderston level about 20 years ago. People were still driving on the partially cleared road with out getting stuck even ones chauffeur.

One recollects that one was in ones Bentley. If your a familiar with the driving of Bentleys then one might know that they are not the best car to be driving when it snows. Very poor traction you see. One now has a Range Rover aswell for such weather
