Is there anywhere around Stoke or even Manchester where I could take my 360 to be chipped.
Thanks

DON'T DO EET!
My mate did the same and his wouldn't allow games that weren't chipped! He could only play games that corresponded with the chip, meaning only games tampored to that specific chip would work! Usually you will get nothing out of it. Just buy games like a normal person else you will get scammed as when you have done it, you can't just say 'I installled an illegal chip to play chipped games'. They won't accept it, so just don't do it mate!

I thought you couldn't go online but you can if done correctly
I didn't find this out til last week, was talking to My ex's daughter and she told me her dad (long story) has a chipped xbox which he plays online all the time, I am investigating further
As for your rant Dee, some of us are lucky enough to be able to pay full price for our games, I have many friends who due to the current economical climate are far less fortunate, I don't begrudge anyone who beats the system at present in order to keep food on the table aswell as supplying thier kids/family with the same luxuries the 'rich kids' can afford

You can get them chipped and play online, but only for a certain amount of time, I know someone who had one bricked (prevented from being used at all) after an update, because you can't take them online without the update, and some updates have software in which allows some sort of testing for chipping, obviously new methods are brought out which in turn, microsoft eventually find out about and find a way to halt.
Not really worth it til the 3 year warranty is up either, otherwise you send it off and won't get anything back if you get the RROD with it chipped.

Xbox gmaes are not necessities. Don't need to cheat the system for that.
Food is a necessity. If needs be, cheat the system.

Didn't say games are necessities mate, but some families are more unfortunate than others through no fault of their own and will do the best they can for their family, for the record I don't have that problem. A Ferrari aint a necessity mate but if I can get one for free with almost lottery type odds of getting caught, guess what will happen

The thing is if you do get it chipped and CAN get online Microsoft will see you have it chipped im not sure if it was for old Xbox or the 360 but people were being caught and given fines for doing it....Just pay for your games they are like £30 or summit now?

ah fuck it then, just going down Tesco to rob the place as i've just forked out £30 on a game and theres no food in the cupboard.
"lucky enough to be able to pay full price for games" I've worked bloody hard all my working life mate, never been unemployed and I find that remark absolutely idiotic. It isn't 'luck' that I can afford life's luxuries. If I didn't have the money I wouldnt buy the games. If your 'friends' can't afford the games then they don't buy them. End of.

Dee..... I'm with you mate Only way of getting games cheaper is eBay so just try to abide by the law when getting games and don't just get fined for chipping it. Top tips for cheap games:1. eBay usually has all games available for a vareity of prices. Always check every page and when you desperately want a game, keep a 5 day gap when looking for available games, people often place games on 5/6 days after release. 2. Always look for sales in games and music stores online aswell as instore as there are different prices for both online and instore. 3. Get the game on launch night as the game usually sells for a cheaper price. 4. Get the game around 3-4 weeks after release as games fall in price as time accumulates. 5. Swap with other gamers for games they want. You may want the latest FPS whilst they may want the latest football Game. My tips as created just now
