Police at football matches.
How come we never see you doing it outside of football?
Does being inside a stadium cause us to devolve 20,000 years, into chanting tribesman?
Those who think it's clever, i urge you to sing those songs to a copper then next time you are doing a bit of shopping up town and you see one.
Is it acceptable in one setting but not another?
Are you just as bad as the hooligans who use football for their violent ways, by you thinking behaving like aggressive children is ok just because football is involved?
I just don't get it, why does watching a football match turn people into such cavemen?

To ring all 40,000 stoke fans would take a long time, and be very costly, as would knocking on each persons' door.
This is my only medium i'm afraid.

In all fairness mate is it any wonder why people shout and abuse coppers. They treat people like shit at football. It works both ways I'm afraid. P.S. I am not one of the 'hard' bastards.

I don't know which people were specifically singing though, so would need to ring all Stoke fans to find out if it was them or not.
You see my problem now?
Isn't a group of men singing a bit 'gay' like?

In fairness, not all of them do. It only takes one idiot copper, then all the numskulls turn on the entire police force. People get irrational at football matches, like they never would anywhere else.

I don't have a problem with the singing of songs to the police, just curious why it only seems to happen inside football stadiums.

Enjoy the football maybe?
Do you sing with your mates down the pub on a friday night?
All together lads:
"It's fun to stay at the YMCA"
Real men sing eh.

Are football matches the only place where a group of hardmen can sing songs together and it not be classed as a bit 'weird'?
Anywhere else and you'd be laughed at, surely?

Applause at moments of skill and goals is ok.
Singing is just a bit wrong.
If you love singing so much, why not join your church choir?

Wonder if they'd be as inclined to all sing "It's not unusual" together on a grassy verge next to a flowing river with daises in their hair.
