Just another boring (lazy) Sunday afternoon, so got out the Play Off Video. Soon cheered up! With Cutz out injured it left only TWO players from the Mill Stad Final starting the game yesterday What a difference 18 months can make eh? For the Clarke knockers, he, along with Thommo are the only survivors. I reckon that says something about his feelings for the club, been here since before 1998 and still wants to play One classic clip showed CC bollocking one of his team mates, nothing changes does it ??? For me he should play but not be Captain.

SuperCliveCaptainMarvel is a great player, the only reason he gets so much abuse is because he looks like a twat. It's not his fault he looks like a twat. Look beyond that and recognise that he's really not that bad of a player.

I can't see where this criticism and abuse of Clive Clarke is coming from to be honest. Is it just because he bollocks a few of his team-mates? Big deal. He's not the only one. Look around the team right now, there are several players dishing out bollockings to each other, it means nowt. Pulis has the players highly motivated and doesn't want standards to slip. If it means that his players have to bollock each other to keep those standards high what's the problem? Who bollocks his team-mates more than Roy Keane? Do you reckon Shit fans are using that as an excuse to strip him of their captain's armband.
Clarkey's on top of his game right now, sound defensively, positive going forward. Like BigDick says, the fact that he's one of only a few surviving members of the team since TP took over should speak volumes.

The Clarke enigma is very interesting & I'm never sure about him ???. Sometimes I see him out of position and at other delivering an excellent quality cross (like yesterday). The way I see it at present is that by and large TP has got the call on his team pretty much spot on. If he feels Clarke is deserving of his place then fine. I am not convinced that he is Captain material but then he does give bollockings out - and that's part of the Captain's job. I still think he would make a better central defender, particularly alongside the like of Gerry.

Smeegs,
Did you not see Clarke's run to beat the two markers and cross for Gifton to score, and he was part of the back four that kept a clean sheet ;D
Constructive criticism is even better than hating somewhat just for the sheer hell of it.

I haven't seen them play since Nov 02, but he was ok back then, nowt special but ok.
I'd prefer to see a home grown average player be given a chance than an ageing journeyman, so good luck to the fella.
And he's better than that fat c**t Derek Statham ever was.

I'm not the biggest CC fan, but his performances have improved a hell of a lot of late.
by all accounts he played really well yesterday.
