Been in the papers today and on the radio the last couple of days about Fergie moaning about the atmosphere at old trafford on new years day.
In todays Star one of their supporters was in saying that the stewards grab hold of you, put your arm up your back, march you out the ground and take your season ticket off you just for standing up in the Stretford end!!
In block 11 over the last few games one old git of a steward has been doing exactly the same thing, just for standing up. I nearly got myself chucked out against Hull for having a go back at this old git and the police there when they had hold of another lad and giving him a right mouthfull about standing up.
Yes we all know it's all seater now and all that, but that united supporter is dead right and what i nearly got chucked out for by saying to the police that they are taking the passion and atmosphere out of the game.
I was watching a phone in on MUTV last night and it was full of people phoning in saying they were seeing people getting chucked out of united just for standing up.
Is this something that is getting more strong are by the week? I can see myself going headfirst out of them big red doors on sunday 'cause like the rest of you, com sunday i'll be rate up for this one.
Come on you potters, and stewards bugger off and let's get the passion and atmosphere back!

Nowt wrong with a bit of banta between rival fans. Block 11 is great for that. Seems to me,and it was pointed out to the stewards and the police against Hull that the away fans can stand in the corner doing whatever to the stoke fans, yet when we have a bit of banta back we are told to sit down or you'll go out!!
Apparently though this is happening all over old trafford, not just up near the away fans. Don't know if it's the same in the boothen or the other areas of the ground, but if it is, it needs to stop and let the fans be fans creating a cracking atmosphere.

Utd had the Stand-Don't-Sit thing for ages now (4 years+?). Seems like plod is fighting back. Utd have had loads of issues because of it; as well as chucking-outs they had reduced crowds in certain areas of the ground and been threaten with behind-closed-doors. It's a thing at the more "traditional clubs", no one sits in the Kop either; I've given up with it all, but well done for continuing the fight! There's a national campaign thingy ... Used to send me loads of spam ... Stand Up Campaign, or summut like that. Someone will no doubt be a long with a link in a bit. And hello Block-11; half my FF meetings contained one moan or the other about "The-Muppets-On-The-Otherside"; keep at 'em, but don't get chucked out on Sunday (they'll move you somehow, eventually) ah

Sportsman, next time Lou is doing a phone in you'll have to give him a call and ask him what he thinks of Stoke's chances this year. I've saw MUTV myself when Stoke Academy were playing them, I was very surprised at how good it actually is.

Andy. Agree there are some 'youth club' shall we say in there, but i have to say when it is full and with a good away following it's a great atmosphere and rivalry. Fair enough when fans gather behind the away end after the match, but from my experience of being in block 10 then moved to block 11 is it's just good old rivalry and what makes the day for me. Our team against their team. One minute you're taking the mickey out of them when you're winning next minute you're getting in back when they have equalised.
It's great and can't wait for some more friendly banter with Newcastle. Just hope the stewards let us try create the atmosphere from that end.
I've also had two air-horns took off me since going in there! Another one going in on sunday though! They'll be sticking duct tape over our mouths on entering the stadium next!
Anyone have any idea what Tony Scholes was doing for five minutes before the Hull game? Came out of the tunnell and seemed to watch us for ages having a bit of banter with Hull. Appeared to be laughing at it all. He then turned to the Hull fans and was looking at them for ages. Thought he was going to run them!
For the 1000th time, can someone tell me Tony Scholes' email address, i've changed mine and can't remember exactly what it was. Cheers.
