I really want them to beat Liverpool and Leeds and another sides (Burnley?) joint record of 29 unbeaten from the start of the season. 1 because it means they have a good chance of stopping the shyte from winning the league again and 2 the media may have to grudgingly mention that its us who prevented Leeds from claiming it outright.
They may get all nostalgic and be forced refer to a club no longer in the higher echelons of the game and give us a little bit of publicity. The fact that in 1974 we had a fine team and beating the champions elect wasn't too much of a shock will be lost on them of course!

Wouldn't put any money on it Joe. I am sure that the last time it was mentioned in the media, 2 or 3 years ago, the credit for ending Leeds run was given to Liverpool!

I remember Liverpool reaching 29 in 1988 and the word Stoke wasn't mentioned. Daft really because it was a momentous game and the footage of it on the history of stoke City video is one of the best pieces of the tape. Others would enjoy it too.

Forest have the record which is 42 but that stretched from one season into the next. It ended at Liverpool.
