Is this going to be another disappointing transfer window, lots of speculation, lots of players linked and then no deals done.............I really hope not The negative reaction from certain sections of the fan base after Saturdays game was unbelievable considering the strides that have been made so far but it does go to prove that those fans are ready to seize upon anything negative surrounding SCFC. Let's hope that PC & TP can bring some much needed tonic in the form of two or three quality siginings. Come on Stoke!

I really hope we can draft atleast two or three decent players in but i still wreckon that we will balls it up in some way.And for the negative people that i have seen at these recent games its rediculous look at our current position and how can you grumble, get behind the lads and let them progress furthur.

Much as I hate to admit it, we all know that the next 28 days will be filled with hope, sometimes inspired by the club ('we are looking at 2 or 3 quality players to give us a bit of quality in the team Nige'), followed by a flurry of deadline day signings, hopefully among which will be 1 or 2 gems (who thought Shawcross would be as good as he has been, or Cresswell).
A bit of investment before the next game might cost a few £ more, but could avoid us throwing away points which could be won in January if we made signings earlier and therefore really help the promotion push.

One encouraging thing is that the supposed "nailed on" deals of Cort coming in and Clint going out haven't been announced yet. So maybe all the deals are going to be announced together or something. Otherwise you would have thought that Cort, Pugh etc. deals would have been done on Jan 1st.
