last year we would no doubt have lost against barnsley, plymouth and hull but we have gained 3 points and still only 4 points from top.

Actually, last season we drew all 3 corresponding fixtures, scoring/conceding 4 goals in the process.
This season we've drawn all 3 fixtures, scoring/conceding 6 in the process.
Therefore, in conclusion. We're no better, they're no worse. We score more, we concede more.
