...and swallow his pride and replace Parkin, Sidibe, and Pericard.
This experiment in Parkin and Pericard is totally flawed and although it might be argued that Sidibes contribution to Fuller is vital to our scoring rate,.. it is clearly only Fullers goal tally which rises. Sidibes is goal scoring record is non-existent.! Crap.
Pulis must act now.. and not rely on Fuller and goals from mid-field.
We could get two good players for what we are currently wasting on these cart horses. Only then will we be in a true automatic promotion position.
Sort it Tone...1 month to go and counting....!

Cant disagree -all three up to the standard required for the higher reaches of the championship
surely even Tony Pulis cant disagree ?

Tony....I can only put his decision regarding this matter down to personal pride.
Clubs don't get automatic promotion relying on one goalscorer...FULLER.
He's got to play Cresswell consistently.!

He'll never sell Sidibe, cos without him, the long ball game cannot work. He should keep Sidibe as an option, for when we NEED to play it long, but sign quality midfielders, who can play the ball. If you look at Sidibe as a striker, he's hopeless. But as an attacking midfielder / target man, he's as effective as anyone else of his value.
But Parkin and Pericard must go.

Agreed Coll40, first half against WBA Mama was very effective and his first touch was there for all to see. In this division he can be a useful weapon with Fuller's pace ahead of him.
Unfortunately, at Barnsley he was awful and again today...
I'd keep Mama but deffo get rid of JP and VP, they are simply not good enough.
I really, really hope we don't get a repeat of the TP stubborn streak this January/February. He absolutely has to play Cress up front with Ric and get in a left winger if Demar isn't ready...

Pulis Broomes and Buxton are not strikers and this is clearly not the crucial point however valid.
We do have players who can cross the ball like Lawrence etc, so we aren't exactly 'a one trick pony' in this respect. We do have the resources to adapt...infact we'll have to when Sidibe buggers off to Africa.

Pulis Broomes and Buxton aren't forwards but theres three wages there for players who aren't good enough. Getting rid of them would make more available for a player or two who will clearly improve the team.
If we are serious its time to get rid of the deadwood who eat up the wage bill and aren't good enough.

Think is we've all been saying get rid of them 3 for the past 3 seasons! Yet still they are here!

Mmmmm. Is that because we want them or because nobody else wants them?

I'm sure offloading them wouldn't be that hard. Some league 1 or 2 club would want them. Giving Buxton and Pulis Jnr new 2 year contracts at the start of this season suggests we (Pulis) wants them. Broomes will leave I think on a free when his contract expires.

You all bang on and on about our midfielders getting forward, let me ask one question "Is Pulis letting them play in that roll?"

Mumf,
I'll agree instantly with two-thirds of your premise and reluctantly with the other third.
TP has shown great faith and trust with Pericard and Parkin and they've both let him down. As my good friend Davef pointed out yesterday, our last three below-par performances have all come when we've started with either Pericard or Parkin in attack...
Bristol City (a) 0-1... Pericard starts Burnley (a)... Pericard starts Hull City (h)... Parkin starts
Until we're able to bring anyone else (assuming we will?) then I think we've got to go with the Cresswell up front, Pugh left side of midfield and Dicko at left back. I hope TP agrees for the future.
As for Mamma, I think yesterday exposed his wekanesses. As a foil for Ricardo he is excellent and works well with him. Unfortunately, when we need him to step in and ante-up with his share of a striker's true responsibility then he can't do it. He just doesn't have the goals in him and no amount of genuine hard work and endeavour is going to change that.

Pericard looked promising when he came on yesterday because he looked quicker and up for it than i have seen for a long long time.
He did really really well and then got done when clean through only for those officials to see something "or chose to see something" that we didn't.
I feel that Pericard is now in the last chance saloon and i hope to god that he takes it and judging by his hunger shown yesterday i would'nt put it past him.

Tazi...you really are a lover of the lost cause aren't you.
Pericard is hopeless and proved as much yesterday with his cameo appearance which included two missed sitters and a display of general incompetence beyond reasonable belief.
Parkin was atrocious as well, and this Cresswell thing on the left wing is really starting to grate with me. He isn't a left winger, he offers us nothing but hard work in that position, and he needs to be played up front or not at all.
The season starts at Ipswich a week on Saturday. Fingers crossed some new arrivals will be in place prior to that game. Whilst not disasterous, 3 draws over the Xmas period is a poor return from our efforts, which could and probably should have yielded two wins and a draw.

Tazi, I admire your support of Vincent Bambercard but I feel it's misplaced mate. Yesterday he had two chances with just the keeper to beat (one shot and one header) and he failed to make contact with either. The bloke is a lost cause and the sooner we all come to realise the sooner we can move on.

Tazi,
That is quite possibly the best laugh I have had for ages "Pericard looked promising"
The only hunger he must have shown is for Christmas dinner, for folk to say Parkin is fat and not even mention pericard well, something is wrong. I couldn't belive how fat Pericard looked yesterday.

Quite simple really, we're never going to achieve our ambitions with these donkeys in our side. Nobody can really disagree with that fact and all three have had ample opportunity to prove their worth - and all three have failed. Time now to move on.

So you've finally made it to this conclusion eh mumf.... it's taken you over a year too long in pericards case, but if you can finally see it let's hope the "messiah" finally admits he got it wrong with these two porkers and does something about it.
I'm not holding my breath though. He doesn't usually learn from, or even acknowledge, his mistakes.
