Not very good today. Do you think we should have had a pen when Periwinkle went down?

No. I felt he was looking for it and the Ref was correct in not giving it. A great opportunity to go some way in making amends for the money spunked up the wall on wages.........
I felt the Ref was inconsistent regarding nudges in the back, which really was my only gripe.

ref was very poor, gave them quite a few soft free-kicks and for the pen, the linesman bottled it, the ref didnt have a clue, looked at the lino and he bottled it, it should have been a pen, he isnt going to go down in that position when hes got a clear chance to shoot. Also i think we could have had 1 when cressie was being held by 2 of there players when a cross came in

Mark,
Of the two shouts, I felt the Cressy one was certainly the better from my view. With regards Pericard, a lack of confidence could of seen him go down easy.......

I think we should have had a free kick in the middle of the park just before they scored. They had about 3 players around LL. (i think it was LL anyway)

SS,
Yeah, I think there was a case for it...........and he was giving extremely soft free kicks near Hull corner flags when their players sensed danger and collapsed to the floor after minimal pressure.
Still, I think it would of been a gross injustice should we have come away with a win.

I have never known a ref in a match give us as little as he did today,he favoured Hull on every 50-50 decision but having said that he is not the reason for how poor we were today.

Not for one minute blaming the ref mate. A better team today would have battered us. I am quite happy with the point all things considered.

He wasn't great but I've seen worse, as for Pericard's penalty shout I think we might have had a sniff if Vincent had made ANY attempt to have a shot. He didn't and I think the ref felt he was looking for it even though I think it actually was a pen. That instance showed why we will never be able to rely on strikers like him, a natural goalscorer would have seen it as an oppotunity to notch and would have busted a gut to get his shot away.

The ref was Neil Swarbrick from Lancashire. We had him gainst Barnsley earlier in the season at the brit, and I recall that game being dire aswell.

from where I sit (behind the goal in the boothen lower tier) i thought it was a pen Pericard was pulled to his left by the centre half definite professional foul - you know the ones - the ones where they trap the players arm between their arm and their body

As a fan I appealed, but I think if other teams appealed for it, i would have told them to shut up. The sot should have been made before the 'conection'

Was a definate penalty, no ifs no buts.
Pericard had worked an opening and just as he was about to pull the trigger from all of 3 yards out he gets hauled back.
Disgusting officials witnessed at the Brit yet again.

Lets put it this way, if the ref had awarded a penno against us for the same 'offence', I would have been livid. It was all hustle and bustle and he got hustled out of it just as Lawrence did when he tried to take on 3 men and lost the ball which led to their goal. IMO, neither of the 'offences' were fouls.
OS.

It looked to me like the defender had got hold of Pericard, which makes it a penalty, however soft. I think the problem was that he was appealing for it as he was falling!
That said, I don't think the ref had a bad game. A bit picky at times when the situation didn't call for it (There wasn't a bad tackle in the game), but kept his cards in his pocket and seemed keen to play advantage whenever he could.
