I admit this is a bit sad but I was so fed up of teams moaning about our team of giant bullies that I decided to see if it's true. I compared the starting line ups Stoke v Smethwick Brazil. Average height Stoke 184.8 cm, Smethwick Brazil 182.6, a whopping two cm advantage. Average weight Stoke 76.81 kg, Smethwick Brazil 77.92 kg. It seems the Baggies with their Samba training regime aren't as skinny as Tone's 'ard workers. So although we're slightly taller there was actually more Baggie meat on the pitch than Stoke (obviously when the Beast comes on the balance swings heavily, no pun intended, back to Stoke). Similarly we were 2.5 cm taller than the whippet fuckers but they too weighed in at 78.09kg a man.
Oh well there's another myth busted, back to work for me.
