Stoke will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run to ten games when they take on a Hull side that is also on the rise.
Steve Simonsen will return to the Stoke side for the clash after Russell Hoult was sent off at Plymouth Argyle.
Hoult was shown a straight red for bringing down Sylvan Ebanks-Blake in the 2-2 draw with the Pilgrims and will now serve a three-match suspension, starting on New Year's Day.
Otherwise Tony Pulis has no new injury or suspension concerns and could name the same outfield 10 as the Potters look to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games.
However, the Stoke chief may tinker with his defence, which has conceded five goals in two games. Andy Wilkinson is most likely to make way for Stephen Wright after he was brought off at half-time at Home Park.
Stoke are still without Dominic Matteo (foot) and Salif Diao, who is closing in on full match fitness.
Campbell blow for Hull
Fraizer Campbell is set to miss out for Hull after picking up a hamstring injury in the win over Sheffield Wednesday.
The 20-year-old striker, who last week agreed to extend his loan spell from Manchester United until the end of the season, is unlikely to feature at the Britannia Stadium.
Veteran frontman Dean Windass replaced Campbell against the Owls and scored the winner with a superb free-kick, so he will be expecting to start.
Sam Ricketts has been feeling his hamstring over the Christmas period, but he got through 90 minutes on Sunday and should be fit again.
Sunday's victory extended Hull's unbeaten run to four games and lifted them up to eighth in the Championship.

which, therefore, will mean that Campbell will be lining up on the pitch at 3pm and TPs planning will have been caught out

Would have been an interesting match up between him and Shawcross, both being Man Utd and the same age..... and having come through the Man Utd set up together!
Pleased he looks like not playing though, but that sets up his replacement to score against us!!!
